One of my guilty pleasures is looking at the scandalous presidency of Warren G Harding. The man was a complete incompetent and completely lacking in morals or scruples. Then he died in office - a mixed blessing.
However, he did not do the level of national and international damage George W Bush has inflicted upon us. And so Bush gets my vote as worst president of all time.

The present doesn't determine the greatness of a President, the future does. President Bush and President Lincoln have some striking similarities in key areas. President Lincoln was not very popular when he was the leader of the country.
The American Civil War was not all that popular, there were riots and protests and the Democrats were calling for bringing the troops home. President Lincoln stayed the course. The press lampooned President Lincoln as an ape, they didn't know what a chimp was then. President Lincoln took some seriously austere measures with personal liberties, far worse than warrant less wire taps. President Lincoln ushered a backwards and medieval region into modernity.
Generals of the Union Army and the war department(now the Department of Defense) were criticized as mishandling the war, which isn't true, the south was some tough fighters, much tougher than any insurgent in Iraq or the Taliban. But staying the course brought eventual victory. If we stick it out and win in Iraq, the world will be better off and President Bush will one day be as famous as President Lincoln.
I do hope President Bush isn't assassinated though, he is a nice man.

I am no fan of Bush, but why is it so obvious that he is the least popular president ever? America has had many unpopular presidents, and some who were probably worse. Presidents cannot be judged by opinion polls, only by history. Two of the worst presidents of the past century were Herbert Hoover and Jimmy Carter, one was a Republican and one was a Democrat.
To show how opinions can quickly change, Carter is now regarded as sort of an elder statesman instead of a senile old fool; apparently many people have forgotten what an awful president he was. Most of our opinions are formed because we are brainwashed by the media, not by careful and objective thought. At the present time most of the mainstream media is dominated by "liberal" thought and it takes delight in bashing Bush at every opportunity--for example making fun of him because he is not a good speaker and sometimes stumbles over words-- thereby making him appear worse than he really is.

this entire credit disaster -- got here about because the banks stopped lending money to at least one yet another. at the same time as the information publicizes that they are reducing the "fed money" cost -- this signifies that the Federal Reserve is reducing the pastime cost that banks charge one yet another at the same time as they lend one yet another money. at the same time as the banks lend one yet another money-- that permits them to loan you funds (to purchase autos, homes etc). So- a significant element of the credit disaster is the freezing of money. in case you pass back into your historic previous-- you'll discover that FDR instituted rules that placed money into the monetary gadget. The TVA did not artwork for free. by technique of putting money into the gadget - the rustic got here out of the finished melancholy. Freezing spending is between the worst issues the authorities can do. it is going to in basic terms make the monetary gadget lock up more suitable and make the credit disaster worse. it really is why you have not considered a gaggle of economist leap on the McCain's freezing idea. it really is why McCain has sponsored far flung from his position on Freezing spending in desire a three hundred Billion dollar application to purchase undesirable subprime loans. yet even then-- that plan is getting very poor comments. So- no- Obama isn't something like "W" and, in my humble opinion, Obama's plan is more suitable sound. Your automobile's engine will lock up if it runs out of oil. The monetary gadget will lock up if it runs out of money. money is the "oil" that keeps the gears contained in the monetary gadget turning. it really is why the plans to get the monetary gadget going back all contain an infusion of money.

No, I do not believe that Geroge Bush was the worst president. By far, I believe that the worst president was Andrew Jackson. Jackson went behind the Supreme Court's back to get what he wanted, and that is illegal.

Not having lived the past 200+ years, I can't say he is the WORST. But he is definitely the dumbest, and in reality is not our president. He is nothing more than a marionette, with other people pulling the strings.

one, i don't think Bush is the least popular president ever. and two, i also don't think he was the worst president ever. wouldn't it be better if everyone stopped whining and just accepted the fact that he's our president and that he will be out of office by next year. if you really want to make a difference, why don't you vote for someone you actually LIKE. how's that for an idea?
