The Geneva Conventions seem to be toilet paper as far as some interrogators, their commanding officers and ultimately the Pentagon are concerned. Maltreatment is widespread amongst the Iraqi people. We are supposed to be bring democracy I understood.

I keep seeing libs say that conservatives "spew hatred". I would like a specific example of this, or at least an idea of what a liberal considers "hatred".
After seeing some of the names our president has been called by liberal posters on this site, as well as what conservatives and people in predominately conservative / Republican voting states are called, I don't see how liberals can call anyone else hatefull.

This is a random sampling poll done by NewsMax about Coulter and her new book, Godless. I think that it shows quite clearly that 1) the left has become marginalized, 2) Coulter is a popular author because her views are mainstream and 3) the democrats are going to get crushed in the upcoming elections because people are deeply distrustful (and rightfully so) or their motives.

1) Was Ann Coulter wrong in criticizing four 9/11 widows known as the "Jersey Girls"?

Wrong: 15%

Not wrong: 85%

2) What is your opinion of Ann Coulter?

Favorable: 87%

Unfavorable: 13%

3) Do you agree with Hillary Clinton that Ann's book is "vicious" and "heartless"?

Yes, agree: 13%

No, don't agree: 87%

4) Has the media coverage of Ann Coulter and her book been fair?

Fair: 18%

Not fair: 82%

5) Of the three, who would you trust for news and information?

Katie Couric: 10%

Ann Coulter: 86%

Al Franken: 4%

I am a Canadian who wants to know how much you guys know about our politics. Which Canadian prime minister do you prefer, and why? Stephen Harper, Paul Martin, Jean Chretien, Pierre Trudeau, or Brian Mulroney? This is a tough question, guys--prove to me that you know as much about our politics as we know of yours!! Good luck!

She's just plain annoying now and has used her sons death to support her own political views. I mean I'm not without pity for her, but if I died for my country and my mom exploited my death, I'd role over in my grave.

The reason our leaders are so selfish and care for no one but themselves in this era: they're all old hippies.

Free love and marijuana was all about self-gratification.

"Don't trust anyone over 30," has now become: "Trust no one under 30." See how they do that to keep everything in their domain?

G.W. and several others joined the National Guard to avoid being drafted to Vietnam because back then, the National Guard was only used to guard the nation. G.W. changed that, knowing that others would probably try his stunt. Old hippies are also hypocritical.

G.W. also sampled drugs, participated in 'free love' and other hippie era things. Which would make him normal for his 'age group'.

If we can survive the 'Hippies Rule' era of our nations government, the X generation (1980's) will move in and replace the 'old-young guard'.

Hold your breath and pray we don't get nuked or overrun before then.

What do you think? Am I right about this?

(they already make roughly $155,000) ,yet not find it necessary to increase the minimum wage (At $5.15 per hour, a worker who works 40 hours a week for 52 weeks a year earns $10,712 per year)?

"The minimum wage is lower than it has been at any time since 1956," said Rep. George Miller, D-Calif., the top Democrat on the House Education and the Workforce Committee. "Congress' refusal to raise the minimum wage shows an utter disrespect for millions of Americans who work hard every day and still struggle to meet even the most basic needs."

Why is it that Bush doesn't get assassinated for the bad stuff she does when the good people get assassinated for doing good. Lincoln did nothing wrong, but got assassinated anyway. Bush has done nothing good, but hasn't gotten assassinated. Why is this so?

The ENTIRE campaign platform of the DNC seems to be wrapped up in defeatism of the United States. Think about it:

They oppose outsourcing cheap labor even though our jobless rate has fallen. The new jobs in the US are HIGHER PAYING than the jobs outsourced.

They propose withdrawing troops from war areas before the peace is secured just so they can oppose President Bush about something. I understand that most liberals in the DNC are anti-war hippies at all costs, but this is crazy.

It seems like ANY good news for the US is a defeat for the DNC. Real personal wealth going up, record job growth with higher wages, and soaring receipts into the Federal treasury contradict their notion that Bush has ruined the economy.

Thousands of terrorists killed or captured and Al-Quada's fighting ability being reduced to IED's contradicts their notion that Bush has lost the war.

If you're entire campaign is wrappen in anti-Bush, will people actually vote for you?

How much oil is in Haiti, Afghanistan or Kosovo? Or any of the other places were we have forces deployed? If you hate Bush, just admit it, but this tired excuse does nothing to further your cause. Is it so hard to believe that thousands of good American and Allied servicemembers are working, fighting and dying to establish democracy and remove dictators? Would you have liked living in Taliban-era Afghanistan or Saddam-led Iraq? Work on solutions instead of giving us tired cliches.
