Who owns NewsMax? How many people were polled?
If those numbers are true, I feel pretty sad for the people in the poll.

Hold on moment, let us have some of the honesty your talking about. NewsMax is a conservative site and as such tends to poll right of centre. Now don't get me wrong, there are a lot of sites that are just as left wing. My point being, a poll done on a right wing site which caters primarily to right wing thinkers is obviously going to get a pro-ann result. That does not make it an accurate statement about liberalism in America. A left wing site would have similar results ie: pro-left.
Now on the matter of Ann Coulters' book, it is an interesting read but it is filled with quite a few inaccuracies. My personal view is that like so many ideological zealots, both left and right, Ann has become to enamoured with her own persona. It's unfortunate the society has become so polarized. Neither side can claim the high ground. The book is merely a symptom of the greater problem. It's not that liberalism is dead, any more than conservativeness is, it's that most people are pragmatic and quite centrist in most views.
Discourse has given way to punditry and punditry is not truth or real, it is merely spin. Godless is merely very good spin.

Ann Coulter is like Al Franken, Katie Couric, Anderson Cooper and the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. She was elected by no one, represents no one and is irrelevant. She is good for a laugh now and then and maybe there is a grain of truth.
But if the American voters voted on the issues the poll suggests, the results may not be the same as the poll.
I think Ann Coulter is just trying to make a living. I think she is overpaid. I feel the same way about Katie Couric and Al Franken. They don't represent me. And the polls didn't ask me.
I think I could find about 6 million better opinions in this country than the ones Ann Coulter espouses.

Playing it straight (for once), Ms. Coulter isn't insane; I'd use the word "shrewish" which I like better than "*****". When did that become an insult, anyways? I think if we acted more like dogs (introduction rituals and questionable eating habits excepted) the world would be a better place. She can have a point, and arguing with a different POV is OK, it's just how she presents herself is so off-putting it is hard to keep the situation from escalating because she has all the charm of a professional wrestling manager. Really, how can you be gracious when someone such as her keeps going for the low blow?

Wow! I have been a big fan of Ann Coulter for about 10 years and think she is very smart but that seems very one sided for any poll. What was the sampling?

As much as "Ann Coulter likes to think of herself as the voice of conservatives even she wouldn't believe this poll. Unless of course this poll was taken at say a Southern Baptist church. Nah even rednecks are smarter than that.

What's your source?
This sounds like a false poll. I bet Ann Coulter wouldn't even believe this poll.

Honestly, I think it depends on the politics of the organization taking the poll. If this were CNN, it would be a lot different. I think Hillary is a lot more vicious than the poll says and I've even heard liberals say they don't like her.

You seem to do a lot of reaseach but fail to realize that Ann Coulter speaks for herself, not a group. Per your answer to my question, you are as COLD HEARTED as Ann is. (You didn't even understand what I asked ... you just blew me off as a Liberal. Learn to think while you reaearch.

Baloney.
Anne Coulter is a nasty, trailer park bit*hShe's as bad in her way as Roger Moore is in his.
Sensationalism grabs the headlines, and polarizes the country. If that's what you're after, hang on her every word.

sadly many people ( esp older people) just don't know or believe that the democrats support such fringe groups.
I tried to explain to my parents last year for example how the democrats are supporting gay marriage, adoption by gay couples, abortion and the such. They laughed at me and said, don't be silly democrats represent the working man and the unions. They still remember what it used to be 20 years ago, and just don't even beleive that anyone could actually support gay issues. So they like many blindly don't even follow current events, current agendas and vote democrat because of issues from the 40's and 50's.
