She's just plain annoying now and has used her sons death to support her own political views. I mean I'm not without pity for her, but if I died for my country and my mom exploited my death, I'd role over in my grave.

I've never felt sorry for her....she is using her sons death for political gain, and that is wrong no matter which side of the spectrum you are on...she does not deserve anything...except to float back into obscurity...her son is the hero, not her.

You're missing the point. If my son enlisted to serve his country, and got killed because the commander in chief used the military for a cause that is either unknown or unjust, then I would spend the rest of my days demanding an explanation. She's not "exploiting" her son's death. She is angry ... as you would be IF YOU FELT THE SAME WAY. Why do you think that anger should disappear over time? At what point would *you* just shrug your shoulders and walk away?

It depends, how much sympathy do you have for a woman who's son died and she can't get a good answer as to why? Many of the other responses show that Republicans just have no respect for the families of the solders who fight and die to disarm Saddam Hussein of the WMD he never had. If they did have respect, then it wouldn't evaporate the minute they find out the person is a Democrat.

Most soldiers didn't know what they were getting into. Most soldiers believed that Iraq posed a serious threat to US security interests, because that's what George Bush and Dick Cheney were saying. To say that the soldiers knew that Iraq had no WMD and no 9-11 link is a lie.

She will never lose my pity. She suffered an awful loss.

She did not engineer the death of her son, but was motivated by it to protest what she believes are the wrongs perpetrated by the government, as is her right. That she has a following illustrates that her point of view is shared by many.

I don't believe her views are political, by the way. They have to do with truth and lies. It is about uncontrolled big government vs. the little people, and that just ain't politics.

YES..1st she didn't raise her son...her republican father and step-mother did..and her son was FOR the war in IRAQ.
2nd: Old Cindy has never visited her own son's grave.
3rd: She is nothing but a political hack for the left and is quite frankly a JOKE

I sincerely don't mean to sound cold, but I never felt sorry for her. Her loss yes, but her no. Cindy Sheehan has made an *** of herself, she's behaved in a very undignified manner and has become a national joke.

I havent ever felt sorry her. I dont know why you would. I'll bet that if her son was alive right now, he'd tell her to shut up. Sure im sorry for her son's death, but there's a limit.

I will say it again.

Her worst day was when her son signed up of the army her best day was when she found out he was killed. So she could do her little dance on his grave and tell him I TOLD YOU SO.

If this was not true she would not be disrespecting him and the things he believed in the way she does

I don't feel sorry for anyone.

I'd roll over in my grave if my son said he'd "role" over in his.

Amen to what you said....Her son willingly and with pride served his country, knowing what he was signing up for and she is dishonoring him by trying to profit off his death rather than memoralizing her son and what he did.
