Sean Hannity stated the other day on his radio show that 52% of Americans supported attacking Iran.

But the most recent CNN poll shows that 63% of Americans oppose air strikes on Iran and 73% oppose using ground forces.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2007/11/08/cnn-political-ticker-am-90/

So who is correct?

FYI: Hannity didn't provide a source for his 52% poll to strike Iran or I would have included it.

Does Iran pose a serious and legitimate threat to the soverneighty of the United States of America, which would require a pre-emptive strike by the US?

It makes the tax code a little simpler for individuals by repealing the AMT after 2007 and expanding the standard deduction, and a bit simpler for businesses, who will trade
unnecessary tax breaks for a lower corporate tax rate. The bill’s corporate loopholeclosing measures would enhance the economy overall because fewer business decisions would be made for tax reasons (to exploit loopholes) rather than sound
economic reasons. It makes the tax code fairer by providing a larger standard deduction and tax credits low-income working people and by scaling back the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy.
Finally, the bill stops the dangerous pattern of the Bush administration of cutting taxes more and more and putting the cost on the national credit card. Instead, the bill pays
for the tax cuts it provides to the vast majority of Americans in a responsible way.

On November 1, the House Ways and Means Committee approved a bill (H.R. 3996) that would close the tax loophole for “carried interest” earned by buyout-fund managers. Closing this unwarranted loophole will raise $25 billion over ten years, offsetting half the cost of providing AMT relief for 2007.
The Carried Interest Provision is a Subsidy for Fund Managers, paid for by the rest of us.
Eliminating the Carried Interest loophole has NO effect on the taxation of Capital Gains.
Eliminating this tax loophole will have NO effect on Realtors.
Congress Should NOT carve out exceptions that would keep the loopholes for some sectors.
Closing the Carried Interest tax loophole will have NO effect on pensions.
The American people will NOT view this measure as a "tax hike."

Waterboarding consists of immobilizing an individual on his or her back, with the head inclined downward, and pouring water over the face to force the inhalation of water into the lungs. This makes the person believe they are going to drown.

People are out there saying a lot of things -

The CIA sells drugs 9/11 was a set up

The war in Iraq is for oil and so on

None of the above is government policy so if it is as bad as some say it is why are these people allowed to say it at all ?

Does the mere existence of these groups prove that at the very least it can not be as bad as all that ?

But you believe it is - (just go along with it ok)

How can for instance this information be published at all and be true ?

I wish my lawyer would be willing to stand up to riot police for the rights inherent in the constitution. I can just imagine some liability suit parasite grabbing a tear gas canister and throwing it back at the police. Get me one of those guys and I'll know that I have someone who is really fighting for me.

Doesn't anybody have the right to start a radio talk show with whatever political views they want to cover? Would a fairness doctrine force the starting of 3 major conservative TV networks to counter ABC, NBC, and CBS?

Here is what he said:

John Coleman wrote an article published at ICECAP Wednesday that should certainly garner attention from press members -- assuming journalism hasn't been completely replaced by propagandist activism, that is.

It is the greatest scam in history. I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by it. Global Warming; It is a SCAM. Some dastardly scientists with environmental and political motives manipulated long term scientific data to create in [sic] allusion of rapid global warming. Other scientists of the same environmental whacko type jumped into the circle to support and broaden the "research" to further enhance the totally slanted, bogus global warming claims. Their friends in government steered huge research grants their way to keep the movement going. Soon they claimed to be a consensus.

The scam is over, the people are not idiots falling for big political names and Government paid scientists creating a tax base out of thin air for themselves and partners.

When the child of an enemy combatant needs medical care, they are rushed to the US and no expense is spared at the finest children's hospitals in the country, but a serviceman/woman who is injured in combat is consigned to a moldy cubicle in Walter Reed after maybe a six month wait on a list because VA subsidies have been cut drastically?

If this is correct, that we need to show support to the president as evidence we support the troops, why is it that of the homeless in America, 25% are veteran? Where is their support when they return home? If Bush is SO behind the US service personnel, why is the VA gutted and so many of those who offered themselves for our country are sitting on heating grates and in shelters. Where is their support from our administration? He wants our support, but where is his?

Considering the fact that our government now invades and occupies sovereign nations at will, and tries to tell others how to run their governments, I would say we are the big bully on the block. The fact that we kill thousands of innocents with our indiscriminate bombing campaigns puts us right up their with Hitler's Third Reich. I believe the god-fearing Muslims are correct.... America is the Great Satan, and I am sorely ashamed of the Feds for bringing us down to that level. We should have steered clear of Israel and other nasty foreign influences. Our good reputation is now a thing of the past.

In the USA, productivity is rising but middle-class incomes are not. The gap between the very rich and everyone else is becoming power, the averange American worker is getting poorer.

Why is this happening? Is it due to globalization, to technology or to politics?

Since the US and the "coalition of the willing" are engaging in a war on terrorism, and the fact that the US congress has recently declared the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization, I think its important to ask "Just what is terrorism?".

Also, are the following situations examples of acts of terrorism? yes or no:
1) A suicide bomber attacks a group of soldiers.
2) A missile is launched into an apartment building to send a message to the government.
3) A man holds several innocent people hostage to have political prisoners released.
4) A group of Sunnis bomb a Shiite mosque.
5) A group of individuals hijack a plane to escape the country.
6) A government financially supports a military group who kills its ideological opponents to send a message to the opposition.
7) A government threatens to destroy a nations water supply if they don't comply with their demands.
