I'm a Republican and my Grandson deployed to Iraq two weeks ago with the Marines. He's not a rich kid but he's a Republican. I think your question is a blatant example of liberal stereotyping.

Why you excluding Mccain? Is it because you know that he's a RINO?

It's not hard at all to see who's party the "Asker" or the "Answerer" belongs to.

The ones that give an answer with thought behind it are Republicans.

The ones with the thought process of a 3 yr. old is a democrat. You need to lighten up. So much hate. I guess it's true the only thing a Democrat beleaves in or supports is if it is: 1) illegal 2) immoral 3) impractical. owe no allegance to nothing but themselves.

No. Rich kids go into the military to become officers, because it builds a good foundation for political careers, or even just becoming a CEO (it's all about 'leadership' - well, and having a relative on the board), if they're not quite so ambitious. Then they cherry-pick assignments that sound like combat, where they can get a purple heart for a minor injury, but are actually comparatively safe.

That rag on Rich Republicans enough for you?

Because I just described John Kerry.

The bottom line is this. If this war continues the way it is going, and Bush goes ahead with an Iran invasion, while still having troops in Afghanistan, we are going to have NO CHOICE but to instate a draft.

Our military is in shambles right now, and that's fact.

If I were you, I would be researching "stop loss." There is already a backdoor draft going on right now.

Why would they be? The military is 70% Republican as it is. I doubt they are worried. And it's a good thing thats all I Opener has to say. What a goof.

No. The Vietnam war went on for years and years. We had over 500,000 boys there, mostly drafted, and the rich kids still managed to stay out of it. Rich kids don't go to war unless they want to. Usually they have something better to do.

Romney wants to be President so that his five sons won't ever have to serve this country with their lives, while his stocks profit off the backs of working class sons and daughters.
