Googbye Middle Class: The End of the American Dream?

Question

In the USA, productivity is rising but middle-class incomes are not. The gap between the very rich and everyone else is becoming power, the averange American worker is getting poorer.

Why is this happening? Is it due to globalization, to technology or to politics?

Not only in America: in Europe and in Italy the middle class is disappearing!

agreed. i think its intentional, or at least known and ignored by the highest levels of government, the fed, and corporate lobbying groups.

as of this year the gap has continued to widen. 1% of people in the US have as much wealth and assets as the bottom 100 million. one out of every hundred people have more than 30 lower middle class Americans.

Look, when Africa starts raising money to feed the US, then I'll take this middle class drama to heart. I dont fully have my college degree yet and I'm already earing past 60 grand a year as so are alot of people in Unions whom had as little as a GED education. Sure, profits are growing but isnt that what a business is about? Bottom line is, the media feeds you some random BS to get you all worked up about something you otherwise would have no clue about and the debate only gets more and more dumb with so many ignorant people feeding back into it. If people cant make it on these ridiculous salaries and be happy and less greedy about BMW's big screen tv's etc etc then thats your fault. Make better decisions in life, save, stop complaining and shut up. This isnt Armageddon (did i spell that right?)

the unhappy certainty is, there are various center/larger type individuals who basically can't spell. fulfillment does not inevitably recommend intelligence. some years lower back the nationwide center for coaching archives performed a study that placed a majority of yankee adults on an 8th grade reading point. meanwhile the traditional American information paper is written on a 12th grade reading point. those consequences are consistent with even the main knowledgeable adults interior the U. S.. no person reads anymore. it rather is the reason maximum of American newspapers and political magazines are failing. The cable information networks are rotting our brains out of our heads. CNN, MSNBC, and Fox information be responsive to we are stupid. they might rather concentration our interest on the loudest fool interior the room then work together us with severe political discourse. it rather is the reason the tea celebration gets lots interest. Its a viscous cycle. Get used to it.

a middle class needs to be planned for an defended by the govt.

what fdr did in his presidency ensured a middle class and as a result america rose in power economically.
