It had subsidiaries, (the Soviet block nations). It had a parent company, (Russia). It had employees, (the people).
It had stock holders and consumers, (the communist party members). It had a board of directors, (the Polit Bureau). It had a chairman, (I believe that Stalin was even called: "The Boss".).
It was cold and inhumane in it's pursuit of efficiency.
Some claim that capitalism defeated the USSR. I know that freedom, Democracy and "We the People" are what the Soviet Union did not have. I know that our government control of potential totalitarian elements in our system, (the corporations), is what defeated the Soviet Union. Capitalism is simply another weapon that we chose to enlist.
I oppose the formation of the North American Union and globalization, because I see it as Soviet style totalitarianism raising it's ugly head again. Cold and inhumane in it's pursuit of efficiency

Now a year ago, the Republicans.. being less of gossipers about their beliefs and ideologicies.... fell far behind the Democrats, more vocal about their beliefs, in the polls.

However, recently.. i have noticed that the Presidents Job Approval polls have actually significantly risen over the past few weeks, when the Republicans have started to REALLY feel the pressures of not only the Democratic propaganda.. but the pressures of the upcomming election...

------------
This weeks poll reads:

Approve 35.5%
Disapprove 57.3%
(not sure: 7.2%)
Spread: -21.8%
------------
------------

Last week the poll read:

Approve 32%
Dissaprove 65%
(not sure: 3%)
Spread: -33%
------------
SUMMARY -----

Approve: +3.5%
Dissaprove: -7.7%
(not sure: +4.2%)

You keep saying we should withdraw as soon as possible from Iraq. Great, just answer a few questions.

1) If we withdraw before the Iraqi government is strong enough to stand on its own, we are probably guaranteeing a real civil war there. When hundreds of thousands of people are killed in it, will you blame yourselves or Bush?

2) Iran will probably turn Iraq into a puppet state. Islamic law will rule Iraq, and the hopes for democracy speading in the Middle East will vanish for at least another 100 years. Who will you blame when this happens, yourselves or Bush?

3) If we withdraw, we cannot personally monitor the terrorists who want to come here and make the U.S. a battleground. Now we've got them reduced to crappy little stunts like blowing up buses two blocks from their house. When some terrorists, who are no longer constrained by our presence manage to mount another 9-11 attack, who will you blame, yourselves or Bush?

After the Kabila led ADFL ousted Mobutu and came to power, there was an increased resentment against the congolese tutsis in congo as they were perceived as foreigners. Are there some deep rooted tribal undercurrents for such a perception, so soon after the Rwandan Genocide?

Why did I loose so many points by asking fo help here? I have no one to read these questions and as I have said many times I am missing one third of my brain as a result from a sniper shot in Viet Nam. and when I tried to get the I.M to both work so someone might be considerate enough to assist by walking me thru the process, I noticed comments such as what process.. Well let me give you a heads up here if you baking a cake for example, I think the process would begin in the fllowing manner "pre-heat the oven, make sure you hae all the ingredients, as well as the items required o make the cake.. and just as a footnote.. I don't bake
but if I thought someone needed or was asking for assistance, I would do the best I could UNLESS it pertained to a computer issue then I wouldn't comment at all..

The Islamofascists from Al Qaeda to Iran have all come out and told us why they hate us, why they want to destroy our country and that the ultimate goal is a world Islamic caliphate. However, liberals still try to claim that terrorism is the result of poverty or some policy of the United States. However, not only does this assertion fly in the face of what the Islamofascists say, it also belies history:

Hershey Co. (The Chocolate Makers) are planning on laying off thousands of American workers over the next few years so they can open up plants in Mexico, and hire much cheaper labor down there.

Will Hershey Co. still get welfare, in the form of huge tax cuts from the American Government?

Alright. Ive come to terms with the real reason we're trying to find excuses to get into Iran. We need to invade to aquire resources. We want the oil from the caspian sea through Iran.
But there are a few things that have been on my mind:

1. If we're trying to become more dependant from oil in the United States, then why are we invade countries for Oil?

2. What are the countries surrounding Iran that the U.S. are allied with think of the constant invasion by the United States? Dont they feel threatened or somehow bullied into having to be allies?

please explain clearly. Thank you.

That's the reality of the war you claim is being fought for freedom and democracy.

Maybe you should look into the Profit Sharing Agreements (PSAs) the US has signed with major oil companies to distribute IRAQI oil.

In Thomas L. Friedman's 1999 book The Lexus and the Olive Tree the following theory was presented: "No two countries that both had McDonald's had fought a war against each other since each got its McDonald's". While that statement was somewhat tongue-in-cheek, his point was that due to globalization, countries that have made strong economic ties with one another have too much to lose to ever go to war with one another. While the observation may be true, the conclusions to be drawn are unclear. The global expansion of McDonald's restaurants is a relatively recent phenomenon when put into the context of the history of warfare, and, with a few notable exceptions, has proceeded into relatively stable markets.

According to this article, democracy, civil society and violence are related. Personally, I think it's intuitively true because most of the violence we see in the world today are either caused by the democracies or are reactions to their policies. Read the article. What do you think?
