Every liberal that I have met, or heard their views (especially on this site) have been uninformed, and they simply follow the liberal ideals because it has become "cool" and popular.

Why do people judge a Christian based on the actions of certain individuals whom claim to be Christian. An example is when people talk about war, catholic sex-scandals, willingness to debate topics, etc. I see a lot of people turn to be hypocritical and blame things on Christians when in all reality they are stereotyping. Being an individual Christian doesn't necessarly mean they agree with everything that certain Christians believe in or actions certain people whom claim to be Christian partake in. I just think many people don't truly understand what it means to be a true Christian and that non-Christians seem to stereotype them in negative ways just as bad as certain KKK members sterotyple black people, what do you think?

This is not a dig against any particular ideology, nor is it aimed at anyone who has posted on this board. There just seems to be some good exposure to conspiracy theories here and I wanted to see if others have noticed this in their real lives:

I find that people I encounter who are fixated on government conspiracies also show a lack of personal accountability in their own lives--Divorces are always the spouses' fault, reckless driving tickets are only given because "the cop was a jerk"...things like that.

If you know people obsessed with conspiracies, do you find this common? Is there another trait youve noticed?

Given that the council tax is almost as unpopular as the poll tax and taxes the few (regardless of income) rather than everyone surely the way forward is to replace it with a local sales tax. I would envisage a system whereby every unit sold at every outlet below 50 pence would have an additional 1 pence local sales tax added. Goods in value in excess of this would be taxed at 1 pence in every 50 pence (i.e. an item costing £10 would in effect be £10.20). This would enable a very unpopular tax to be scrapped while at the same time ensuring local services were properly funded. Those on a small fixed income would only be paying in a sum commensurate with their lifestyle and would surely pay less than they do now as everyone, in effect, would be sharing the burden.
