Do you think that if the government were not allowed to tap into Social Security revenue to fund other projects and programs, the system would remain solvent? Why or why not? All answers appreciated and elaborate ones treasured. Thanks for your thoughts.

YOUR VOTE COULD SWING THE ELECTION
What is at stake? Stagnate wages, soaring health care costs, disappearing pensions, rising fuel prices. Retirement security, protection for our freedom to form unions, safe jobs, good jobs

Every state should have the same amount of Senators. Why did we choose 2? One for each makes sense. If we are concerned about a state not getting a chance to change their senator but every six years, then why not use 3 senators. Then every 2 years, one of the 3 senators would be up for election.

Any idea why we settled on 2?

I am in North Korea right now, my country doesn't possess any nuclear weapons though we are trying desperately to get it, my govt just detonated some high potency explosives underground to frighten off the USA from coming to liberate us, plz Mr. Bush, hurry up and come to our rescue, dethrone our tyrant leader and install democratic govt for us, we the citizens of N. Korea desperately want to join the rest of the peace loving world, don't allow the stupidity of one drunkard to affect the rest of us

We may have a stable economy but most people are in very heavy finacial debt worst in europe, surely this will be trouble in the future?

Unemployment may be low, but thats just because the gov. has increased people not needed in the civil service! People just get paid to do nothing, i know my sister did it for a year at DEFRA. And its us taxpayers that pay higher and higher taxes + stealth taxes to support these 'jobs'.

Anyway these 2 things are the only redeeming features i can think of the labour givernment and even they don't seem genuine.

after asking a question on how we can accomplish world peace i decided the best answer was "to get involved in whichever organisation you feel will acomplish it (or politics)" so i thought about it and realistically no political party would ever want world peace because they have to much money and power to gain from war.
the omly way i can see a light at the end of the tunnel is by starting one, a worldwide party dedicated to peace with no predjudice against religion colour or creed,
i once heard a saying, "never doubt that a small group of determined every day people can change the world, indeed it's the only thing that ever does" and i believe that hits the proverbial nail on the head.
i guess the first step has to be to get a group of likeminded individuals who also want a world without war and corruption so, watch this space

I am not politically minded in the least and just wondered if you lovely Americans actually like your president? I like our prime minister and will miss him when he leaves No 10.
