Where did you look up your information? The ACLU handbook to America? Just for a minute now let's look at the fact that the top 1% of Americans pay 40% of the taxes. There are more rich Democrats than Republicans in congress. If the Democrats raise taxes, do you think that won't hurt the poor even more than the rich? Ever seen a poor person start a new industry that hires hundreds of people? Where do the jobs come from? Those taxes paid by the richer and better off Republicans are probably paying most of your areas school taxes. All those Rich Movie Star Democrats are really helping us poor folk out aren't they? Most republicans are blue collar, rural people, most Democrats live in Urban areas (Cities) Where do you think the pay is higher? And I really don't think your in 7th grade either. Nice try. But as usual some people have to lie to try and make others believe their point. And just so you know, I'm an Independent voter, not a Repulican. But it is constant lies by the extreme left that causes me to vote for Republicans over Democrats by a 3-1 ratio

Here's the unbiased basics: Neither side is really evil. Currently, the republicans are having lots of scandals, but democrats have had theirs, too--just think of Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. When it is time for you to actually vote, you should not really think of the sides in general, but what the two sides are advocating. A republican can always side with a democrat issue and a democrat can always side with a republican issue if they choose to do so. It is all about making the right choice. Everyone pays taxes, just so you know. Your parents pay taxes and they get a nice little deduction for having you in their house. Maybe you should go ask your parents how taxes work and take economics. If your parents take it to a tax accountant, then maybe they should learn how to do their taxes themselves, even if they screw up and have the accountant check their work. Democrats are not always fair, and neither are republicans. Both are human and make mistakes from time to time. Just so you know, there are lawmakers who set their own salary. If they have a high salary, they aren't going to be happy when the tax collector comes around. In fact, this may lead them to embezzle or even launder money. Greed doesn't take any side. You can be independent and still be greedy. When you learn how the real world works, come back and ask a better question.

I've voted for both parties as well as a third party in the past.
You've got a lot to learn yet. I don't where you got your information, but it's definitely biased. Both parties have good intentions, they just have different perspectives. In order to understand the position of Republicans you need to find better sources of information. Simply put, Republicans and economic conservatives believe that people use their money more wisely than the government and charities do a better job than govt programs. You may not agree with this, but your research appears more emotionally based than factual.

Democrats believe everyone should be responsible for each other. Republicans believe you should be responsible for yourself.
When you are out in the working world, you will see the difference. Heaven forbid the Dems are running the world, and you make millions on an idea that is all your own. When the Demmies want you to pay for the welfare babies with the money YOU earned, you will quickly change your position.

Wow, is this the education our taxes are paying for. Maybe the entire education system should be revamped.
Why are we worried about smaller class sizes and teacher raises if the teachers spend their time politicing and they are not even honest about it.
This is just one more thing that will bring our Country to it's knees.
