I was given a B1 (travel for business) Visa to the USA valid for six months only. My boss (has been a long time visitor to the states and has a 10 year tourist visa) and i plan to attend an expo in Dallas. There is an annotation at the bottom of my visa indicating that we plan to stay for 2 weeks only. The expo is only 3 days long, but we intend to stay for the full 2 weeks, would it be ok to say that we will visit some tourist spots (vegas etc) while we're here? Serious answers only please!

4/5 of India is Hindu. I think that is not fair. Even though there are more muslims in America than Hindus, that doesn't mean that all those muslims come from India!

Basically I just want to know what ID I need to take with me to the French consulate - the website is useless and doesn't provide any clues at all.

Also, does anyone know how long it takes to actually get the new passport - I seem to remember it only taking a few mins last time but I can't be sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Long story short. My wife is a US citizen, I'm a UK citizen and we are settled in the UK. Before my wife and I were married (we were just dating at the time) I was refused entry to the US to visit her. After that, when we were engaged and she was going to be moving here, I applied for a B visa via the US embassy to help her move and they refused the application, saying 'I could not prove ties to the UK' despite the fact my family are here, my fiancee had a visa to live in the UK and we had a wedding booked in the UK! We are now married and want to be able to visit my in-laws. We need to be able to do this at short notice because they are not in good health etc. Has anyone else been in this situation or does anyone know what visa options there are for it? It seems that unless we want to settle in the US, we have to apply every time and go through the interview process etc. They refused it without reason last time and we have no idea what to do.

When you apply for a USA visa in the US Embassy in the Philippines you're required to pay USD 100. not knowing if you'll be given or not given a VISA. is it reason enough, or they were just raising some cash from it?
