Elections - February 2007

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Elections

After all we voted for the party we wanted and the prime minister because we trusted, him and not the new one. The labour party has the right to pick thier leader but we pick the man or women we wish to lead us.

Just want to see the spirited opinions of mankind. In Nov. 2008, if you could just make it through the mob of protesters and come face-to-face with the old guy, what would you tell him?

How do you clear a room full of Democrats?

Are the Democrats already showing extreme spending?

“The Department of Defense offered Speaker Pelosi the same aircraft” as the one used by Hastert, said one senior Republican who has spoken extensively with Defense Department officials about Pelosi’s requests. “She found it was not big enough for staff, supporters and other Members.”

Make them fly regular flights, hey we have too!

"The USA is an international pariah" (John Kerry) defended by "mercenary" troops. If Democrats ideology were not so dangerous it sure could be laughable...

I saw the little clip with Bush Sr.; what's up with that, what's their relationship, and is she really a republican? Furthermore, did she actually vote for Jr.?

In a Democracy should not the military be Democratic?

Should military personnel (soldiers, sailors, etc) be thoroughly informed of the complete details of a proposed war so that an individual, inteligent decision can made, then allowed to vote to participate in the fight? If the majority votes in favor,THAT majority goes to the war, instead .of the participation being arbitrarily dictated by those who would send them and not participate.

I truely think he would win and would have won last time around if he just had the money to campaign.

Can someone explain what winning a Presidential Primary is? I read about it all the time and really have no idea what it means! Who votes in the presidential primary of a state? I had read that RFK won the California Presidential Primary before he was assassinated, and it was considered a 'major victory'. Who is it against and who decides who wins?

Okay, YOu're in a state that the votes are just popular votes, Than why waste time voting when it does not make a difference

You know.. it's one thing to not stand for ANYTHING... it's one thing to meet the minimum residency requirments to run for political office... it's entirely another thing to run for President while you are still a "Junior Senator" from New York.... But is it possible to dodge the Political Bullet from behind a webcam. Part brilliance on the Clinton Campaign... State your business and not have to answer any question...can you imagine if she could debate rudy under the same format? Rudy won't allow her to run from the issues and hide behind a website and will demand that she makes a stance on all of the issues... which will be a problem... after all... Her husband couldn't figure out if he had "relations" with that woman or not.... Something about an apple and a tree here that comes to mind....

It's something that our people never really thought was possible. Can a black man be seen as a MAN, and Comander and Chief at that? It's a consept some people may have to get used to, and others are thankful the day has finally come.

Or are they just jumping on the bandwagon because he is a republican?
Rudy=
Pro-choice(for abortion)
Pro-gun control
Pro-gay marriage and gay rights
Pro- federal funding of embryonic stem cell research

Now i ask you Johnny Republican, do you really want that guy? Might as well vote for Hillary or Obama if you want someone so far left on the issues!

This is how 2008 looks from this side of the pond- Unloved by conservatives, McCain and latter day saint and opportunist abortionist Romney both tainted by their support for a 'Surge' to the deeply unpopular war in Iraq by a President accused of abandoning that oxy-moron, conservative principles and now said to be marginalised and irrelevant. Giuliani, looking good after 9/11 then taking a hit after sharing a room with Bonny, a gay Chihuahua. The 1994 revolutionary Gingrich and brother of the Pres. 'Hangin' Chad' Jeb are the most unlikely 'Saviours' in history. Although unbridled liberalism now raging like a forest fire in Massachusetts is unlikely to reach the hinterland the horribly named and racially challenged Obama will be swept aside with all the former, by America's first woman President. That's how I read it and it sure was fun.

As a life long conservative, I could not even bring myself to vote for that idiot the first time around. Will the GOP ever return to conservatism, and how long will it take to repair the damage the neocons did?
