I'm referring to the electoral system for the US House of Representatives. What type of electoral system would you vote for if it was a ballot proposal? Instant Runoff Voting (like Australia), Single Transferable Vote (like Ireland), Mixed Member Proportional (like Germany), Mixed Member Majoritarian (like Japan), Closed Party List PR (like Argentina) or Open List PR (like Belgium)? By the way, PR means Proportional Representation (and it doesn't have anything to do with racial or gender representation, it's party representation; in other words, a party gets a number of seats in proportion to its votes) and I'm not referring to the Electoral College.

Most people give the Faith Based Christian Conservatives the credit for helping push President Bush over the top in winning the past two elections. Could have the President won without these votes? Had they chosen to stay home-or vote for someone else (democrat or third party) would have President Bush still won?
Even more important, and more central to the question i am asking, come 2008 will they come out to vote? Will they support the Republican party? Case in point: if it comes down to Rudy Giuliani winning the nomination for the republican party will the Christian Conservatives back him? Rudy is a man who is Pro-Choice and Pro-gay marriage. Very liberal on moral issues.
The Faith Based voters have already expressed their dissatisfaction with the republican party and proved it in the last election by staying home or by voting anyone else but republican. If this happens again in 2008-can the Republican party still win the White House?

If Hillary becomes the next president, then everyone should get behind Jeb Bush for the next election. It just would look so cool in the history books.
....Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, Bush
And then if Hillary serves two terms and Jeb get two terms, maybe Chelsea would be old enough to run.

With Obama's presidential announcement coming Feb 10th, many are pondering possible running mates. While an Obama/Clinton ticket appears very unlikely if he is to win the primary, some other notable names have popped up, Lieberman, Richardson, Clark, even a few GOP candidates have been discussed making for a possible bi-partisan ticket. Who would make the ultimate running mate for Obama?

considering that we haven't had an anti-masonic party since like 1830's (which dissolved after they found out that their leader was a mason). i'm under the impression that the parties dont matter, & that either one will incremently advance the agenda of those controlling them.

I'm curious to know what people think is good about the Electoral College. Additionally, I'd like to hear from some smart folks whether you think it's constitutional, and what fair alternatives you think there are?

After about 11 years of higher taxes and less public services, money given away to Africa, money given away to Europe, money given away to Muslims, money given away to immigrants, money given away to homosexual causes, will you still vote for them in the next general election? They asked us to accept a rise in National Insurance contributions (to which we agreed) to fund a better NHS - have they delivered? Will you vote them in again?

is clearly a serious risk for our government based on her track record?? How soon you all forget that you're considering a woman who is anti-semitic; has made a number of racist comments and felt sympathy for Arafat, a terrorist; a woman who is capable and willing to mislead, lie, evade, and even steal from those who work side-by-side with her; A woman who thinks that young adults have no work ethic and pardons felons that "paid" for her campaign! This is who you want to lead our country and you're b!tching about GWB??! Amazing!

Romney is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon). Do you think this should have any effect on his candidacy.
When John Kennedy ran in 1960 people said if he was elected the Pope would run our country. He was elected and no such thing happened. When Jimmy Carter was elected the Southern Baptists didn't take over. Why should it be any different with Romney.
