With Obama's presidential announcement coming Feb 10th, many are pondering possible running mates. While an Obama/Clinton ticket appears very unlikely if he is to win the primary, some other notable names have popped up, Lieberman, Richardson, Clark, even a few GOP candidates have been discussed making for a possible bi-partisan ticket. Who would make the ultimate running mate for Obama?

Not a chance!! Gore is an idiot and we have just experienced 2 terms of that - enough is enough!!

I haven't made up my mind on Obama yet either, but I really like the concept of a bi-partisan ticket in general. Of course, even that would depend on who the two candidates are and if I can agree with them on the issues (esp. issues other than Iraq/Iran).

Go ahead and make a note of this...Obama is a "flash in the pan". He will fade away like John Edwards has. When Mr. Edwards was first getting into the race last election, everyone said that he was the next John Kennedy ad nauseum. Right...It would not surprise me if democrats chose NOT to even support Hillary when all is said and done...risky roll of the dice. Everyone is just hoping for some rock star that will sweep us all off our feet. That will not happen. The GOOD choices are smart enough NOT to run and ruin their lives, thanks to the media in our country.
Obama/Gore? No way.

Gore wouldn't work as Obama's V.P.. Al has WAY too much stature now to be someone's right hand man (plus he's already "been there & done that" for eight years). However, if you REVERSED the order of nomination- I don't think ANY combination of other candidates would beat a Gore/Obama ticket. It would be AWESOME!!! :)

Gore yes, Obama no..... he's got issues, it's just the media is afraid to touch him because he's a minority, if he was a white candidate they'd be all over him like everyone else.
