I ride western, but I do not own a horse. At the moment, I am exercising an Arabian mare. I am about to buy a saddle. I myself am 5'5'' and 120 pounds. I want a nice but not really expensive saddle. Do arabians need a special saddle, or can i make do with one i could use for other horses as well. What show i look for in my first saddle. I always borrowed one, but I think it is time i get my own.

ok, well, i was at the barn the other day, and i was tacking up my mare, when my friend katie walked back from the arena, and asked me to hoold her horse. i asked her what was wrong, and she sounded about to cry, and she said that her horse tried to roll on her. should i tell our trainer about this, our leave her alone. she's old enough to do this on her own, and i don't want to be a tattletale, but i'm really worried she might not say anything about this. to tell, or not to tell.

I recently visited a pet store in Stephenville Texas to purchase mealworms for my sugar gliders. I noticed they had an adult glider for sale. She is being very poorly cared for, in a tiny cage, housed in the same room with birds. She was being fed peanuts and trailmix for a bag.

My first question is if it is even legal to sell sugar gliders in pet store in Texas. I know that some state ban the sale of these animals in stores, but I'm not sure about Texas. If it's not legal, to whom do I report this.

If it is legal, is there a way to report the mistreatment of this animal?

Every night for months on end he's made the same noises during sleeping. It is nothing like any of the vocalizations here ( http://www.ratbehavior.org/norway_rat_vocalizations.htm ) and they're rather deep and quite loud. It probably happens about 10 times a night while he sleeps, but during the day when he's sleeping I hardly ever hear this problem. During making these sounds he also goes into a very heavy sleep where even screaming his name at the cage doesn't wake him up. I have to physically touch him to jolt him awake and, unfortunately, this is the only way to get the sounds to pause as well. (He does know his name, however, and comes when he's called so it's not that he doesn't register it's him being called.)

That I can tell he's not in pain. Out of the cage he IS a frequent chatterer and when I first got him he was also a loud squeaker, but he's grown out of that the more he's been handled. He's less than a year old and I've had him since he was about two months.

in america, everyday i'l see about 3 dogs stressed up in bling bling, sunglasses, hats, coats, shoes! being carried by their smittened owners... kinda scary through my british eyes.. but i was wondering... do you think anyone's ever stopped one of these pimpin' pups and stole their sunglasses to feed their family? Can you report that? Are you a witness? Can the victim press charges?
