yes... but it is best to give dark fresh green leafy lettuce than regular lettuce... and carrots OK too... but only in moderation, they are not rabbits. It is best to give them a slice of orange daily or a chewable vitamin C tab because Guinea's lack proper vit. C in their bodies... they need the supplement. Apples are good too...nothing too citrusy though.

Do not give the guinea pig any iceberg lettece, other kind is ok in small amounts and no rabbit green pellets only the kind for g. pigs. Carrots are ok several times a week. I found that G. pigs really like red, and yellow bell peppers the best. They also like hay, string beans, corn most kinds of vegetables. Some fresh vegetables every day in small amounts is ok. Keep the water very clean, bottle is best.

Guinea pigs are herbavores and like a variety of vegetables. Guinea pigs should get one cup of fresh veggies every day along with unlimited plain pellets and hay. Don't get the pellets with the colored bits in it, this is just like junk food for pigs and is not very nutritious.

Guinea pigs eat veggies like carrots, parsley, cilantro, romaine lettuce, bell peppers, endive, escarole, dandylion greens, etc. Iceburg lettuce is not good because it has little nutritional value and can cause diahreah. Gassy veggies like broccoli and cabbage should be fed sparingly as they can cause bloat (which can be fatal). Celery is also not a very good choice as it also has little nutritional value and guinea pigs can choke on the strings.

Try to pick foods high in vitamin C. Guinea pigs require vitamin C in their diet to remain healthy as their bodies do not synthesis it.

You can also give your guinea pig fresh fruit as an occasional treat. Fruit is high in sugar and too much can cause health problems. Guinea pigs can eat tomatoes, but they should be fed sparingly as the acid in the tomatoes can cause mouth sores.

it's ok to give guinea pigs any kind of carrots, though not too much at once. You can usually give them more carrots then lettuce though. Lettuce is more likely to cause diarehea (is that how you spell it?) than carrots. You could also give him apples, (not too many) unsalted sunflower seeds, washed dandelion leaves and grass, or peas.
Note: if he doesn't eat it, he doesn't want it.

Only a little of romaine lettuce, carrots only once in a while. They need veggies high in vitamin C every day. Timothy hay is very crucial for their diet. Lettuce is great! Although I found that my last guinea pig didn't like lettuce and neither does my new one...weird. One other thing they do love is APPLES! My last one could eat 3 in one day and so can my new one lol.
