Crabby Grandmommy here *lol* though they are actually my daughter's crabbies I tend to spoil them.
We have 4 smedium PP's and 2 smedium Ruggies.
They are named as followed:
Angel ( my daughter's first small pp who came with another pp buddy we named Raja but he kinda molted 3x's in a row and on the last molt it was just to much for his lil' body *pout*)
George: the larger of our smedium pp's. We named him George because he kept wandering all over the cage, changing shells every day, climbing around like he didn't know Which Way To GO.. IE: Which way did he Go, George.. *hehe*
Stars n' Stripes: we named him SnS for short because he was in a Stars n' Stripes shell. He's our grumpy pp and pinched my daughter at her bellybutton one day when he got startled. Talk about a funny belly button piercing huh *hehe* Not funny for her at the time but still funny.
Lil'bit: lil'bit got his/her name because it was just a Lil'bit smaller than SnS. It's more on the small side of our smedium pp's.
Then we have our two Ruggies. They are just a mess in their own lil' world. They LOVE to tear up the tank anyway they can, dumping water out of their water dishes, digging up the fun plants etc. Drives my daughter and I NUTS to say the least *lol*. Anyway the ruggies names are as :
Blue Lightning: also known as BL. We named him BL because he dashed around really quickly unlike our pp's who were a lot slower.
And our last hermie, the other Ruggie;
Daemon: our newest ruggie that my daughter named Daemon because he's in a shell with a daemon face on it and really looked cool. He's just a sweetie too. He made several shell changes when we first got him but each time went back to his original shell. I guess it's a good thing it's not a real small shell or he would have big problems when he next sheds. *lol*
Anyway that's our motley crew of Hermies.
A good site that I use most often when I need advice or have a question is:
http://www.hermitcrabassociation.com . They even have a full list that everyone over time has helped put together on foods their hermies love and those they hate.

I have one, Mr.Crabby. I've had him for about 6 months. They are great pet's, low maintenance, inexpensive, & fun to watch. Mine has recently molted (i'm not sure if it;s called that for crabs?). But he lost his old shell and now has a brand new pink one. He's done so well I'm gonna get him some friends. I have read that they enjoy the company of other Hermits.
