I'm not sure if you remember this. There was a guy who either jumped or fell from one of the towers. The incident was caught briefly by the cameras. All I could do was watch in shock. It was very sad indeed to watch someone actually fall to their death. I could only imagine what was going through his mind? Your thoughts?

Dutch Crash Burns 3 Tons of Hash
By Associated Press
Fri Mar 2, 3:33 PM

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - Three tons of hashish went up in smoke Friday, incinerated by Dutch authorities after a van carrying the illicit cargo crashed and scattered it across the road.

Detectives were hunting the van's driver and a passenger who fled the scene, leaving behind the wrecked vehicle and its $20 million cargo.

A careful listening reveals that society is really dumbing down fast. On a recent overseas trip, I was amazed at how professional and serious the news reports were. Why is American media catering to the base, immature and irrelevant? And what's with all those African drums??? Listen to CNN...it sounds like a jungle at wartime.

Steve Irwin was my hero and I for a fact was blubbering like a baby. I just couldn't believe that this incredible person was never gonna be around anymore. I was wondering If anyone else felt this way because I kind of feel alone on this.

a couple of weeks ago after watching BBC 2s Conspiracy Files programme concerning the 9/11 world trade centre disaster, I posted a question on yahoo answers which went: Was BBC2s "The Conspiracy Files" programme 18.02.07 disinformation dealt to the British public concerning 9/11?
The question was on the site for less than 24hrs before it was pulled. Yahoo told me that it was removed because it was not a question but as anyone can see, it plainly is. I have tried to contact yahoo customer services but to no avail and they just seem to be ignoring my emails in the hope that I will forget about it and stop bothering them. Has anybody had a similar experience and does anyone out there feel that this could be part of the whole 9/11 conspiracy to silence people who start to dig and ask what is deemed the wrong questions?

I am a journalist in the same county as the college these kids came from and yesterday was a media frenzy on campus. Not only was I covering the story along with other local media, but media outlets from Columbus, Toledo and as far away as Cleveland were all there. It would have been easier on the community now in mourning if it had only been a local story, so do you think it warrented national attention?

I think they should stop using "destructive," "coping," "devastating," "heart-felt," and "plethora."
The English language has plenty of adjectives that can be used instead. They could say "damaging" instead of "destructive." Instead of "coping," they could say "dealing with."
When I watch the news now-a-days, it seems that these "journalists" are just using the same words over and over because either they think the American public cannot understand anything else or they have lost their Thesaurus.
BTW, I am not looking for politcial words, so all the people that are going to say liberal and conservative, forget it. Those words have become institutions unto themselves. Iam talking about the words that appear all the time on every news channel.
