Forget for a moment whether the issue of whether she was covert or not at the time of the outing. Just focus on the revealing of her identity. And the fact that she was a Republican. And her husband had just written a damaging op-ed piece that had driven Al Gore into a rage.

In other words, put the shoe on the other foot. Be honest. How would the Republicans in Congress have reacted? Would they have said, "No big deal. She wasn't that important. She wasn't covert. Besides, remember freedom of speech. A liberal newspaper columnist has the right to print anything he wants."

Try hard to be serious.

McGRADY, N.C. - Rangers coordinating the search for a 12-year-old Boy Scout missing in the North Carolina mountains were scrambling to try to confirm a radio transmission from searchers Tuesday that the child may have been found.
"I've heard that's he's alive. We still haven't confirmed this is 100 percent true," said Tina White, a spokeswoman for the National Park Service.

Question:
Does anyone agree that all involved with this story are willfully negligent? Shouldn't the horrific incident of the dead miner's mistakenly being reported alive a while ago have ended this kind of irresponsible reporting. The forestry individual must be out of her mind to report anything but to announce and introduce the boy on camera. The reporters even reporting her stupid announcement should lose their journalism licenses.
Anyone else agree?

None of them really report what is happening even in our own country. I mean we have serious problems with crime up 10% in 46 out of the top 50 metropolitan areas, almost 700,000 registered sex offenders and who knows how many unregistered and $3.15 a gal. gas in CA but all the news can concentrate on for a month is Anna Nicole Smith and her death? She was at best an untalented human being yet we waste all this time on her?
Plain stupid.

Is that how the majority of the anti-war crowd looks and acts like? I don't think 1 person there had any sense. My 6 year old daughter said it reminded her of a freak show at a carnival. Do normal people spit on cameras and other people? Please tell me if that is all they have to offer?
