Who ever trusted the government?!

2007-03-20 04:01:45 · answer #1 · answered by Robert C 2 · 2 0

I do and the smaller the government the better I like it. Most of the services we depend on come from local govenrment, from police to water to garbage collection. Education is a local issue to and you can have a great deal of input into it. We elect most of the people who run governments and if they are bad then we have to do better by finding out who is the best candidate and voting. MOST of the people who complain about government do not vote and many are not even registered voters. Its easy to just say I don't trust the government but if you don't participate in picking who runs it then is YOUR fault. Politicians who are convicted of corruption are sometimes re elected because people don't vote. So if you don't like it change it.

All governments are to be distrusted to some extent..
The US govt. is better than most...
Don't believe me ?..
Move to another one for a while and see for yourself..
A good determination of the "goodness" of a nation is
to look at how many people want "in" and how many
people are trying to get "out"...

I don't, but those who do are gullible or are asleep. If you trust the government then you've never listened to a politician. They make promises and then break them and make excuses. I am constantly writing my representatives. I also say if you don't vote, don't complain.

We, the people, are the government.

It's up to us to elect good ppl and it's up to us to demand the Constitution be followed. etc., etc.
