Both of these men were accomplices to Saddam Hussein when mass murderers of other Iraqi citizens occurred. Should they be hanged? Ibrahim's head decapitated during the hanging, how would you view this?

Over the holidays, people in Nebraska and Colorado were hit with back-to-back ice storms in which the destruction equalled that of a category 5 hurricane. Thousands of people were and still are w/o heat, running water, etc., and are stranded inside and outside of their homes. Not to mention the deaths. This storm has caused millions of dollars of damage. My question is why hasn't the media covered this story as extesnsively as they covered (and still are covering) Katrina? Why weren't the people of these states out there demanding FEMA come and help them. Where was the robbing, raping and looting, and murdering? Why weren't the people out there blaming the gov't for this disaster?

Appreciate intelligent answers from all you ladies and gentlemen across the USA...

They tell us that we're the real cause of all the problems!

Seems to me the whole region was a cluster even when we had no troops anywhere in the region!

It's looking more and more likely every day. The US/UK armed forces are now stretched to their limit in Iraq & Afghanistan, but Bush has his sights firmly on Iran & Syria next (just wait and see).

The only realistic option (which they are considering) in order to be able to continue to fight this 'war on terror' is to bring back the military draft.

But if this happens, let's not forget for a second that this has been one of the most unpopular wars in history.with the vast majority of the population opposed to it.

So if they do force us to either fight and die or be sent to prison, what will happen? Will people accept it or will there be huge protests and revolts everywhere?

Bear with me, I am not against capital punishment. These people are definitely engaged in some very harsh crimes in their lifetimes against humanity. But does this really seem the time and place to do these hangings? It doesn't feel right..to this heart of mine. Democratic revolutions are supposed to inspire patriotism, romanticism, freedom of the people. A bloody one, like the one the French tried to have and the subsequent use of guillotines. That one didn't work out too well.

Bush has two more years.Do feel he can drag us into a war with Iran ? Now that he has gave large tax cuts to Paris Hilton and other rich people will we have to sell our young to pay for the war? I feel he could get a good price for his girls in the middle east.

I think the family knew, and they didn't say anything.

Because the family lived so close to Devlin, they surely must have visited. When they visited, they would have seen Shawn.

If the family is involved, I hope they suffer also.

Just came back from a meeting at a Victoria homeless night shelter. Our city's business association reneged on the $60k they said they'd pay for heating etc; now they're paying zip. Yeah, those business owners, like you and me, have warm beds to go to tonight.

Meanwhile, just got an email: Victoria's Native Friendship Centre has finally run out of food.

Our perfect little town, a third of a million people, has over 500 people sleeping in the subzero snow tonight. What the hell is going on?

Why do business owners and governments say they'll help, but when push comes to shove, offer nothing? B.C.'s Liberals may be worse than the NDP. Do both parties really think that homeless people don't matter because they don't bring in votes?

Why have you, I and our governments allowed the rich to get so much richer? Why don't we and our governments get it that each of us -- ever so easily, just a bit of bad luck -- could end up on the street?

The poor are poor because the rich are rich.
