Various cultures and traditions, even within a single religion and different languages. Travelling through India is almost like travelling thru different parts of the world, mostly because of the different type of people, culture, traditions and language!!
Many of my non-indian friends also feel the same!!

Being an Indian myself, I find the unity amongst the families and the fact that we give a great emphasis on maintaining relations most enticing.
For non-Indians, I can only give U a hint:
Father's Younger Brother is called - Chacha(ji)*
Father's Younger Brother is called - Tau(ji)
Mother's Brother is called - Mama(ji)
Mother's sister is called - Mausi
Father's sister is called - Bhua(ji)
Elder brother is called - Bhaiya Ex: Tom Bhaiya
Elder Sister is called - Didi Ex: Kelly Didi
(ji) - A way of showing respect or regard.
These are just a few examples. There are many more different names for various relations. What do U like most?

Because we are so many states in one country and still TOGETHER... there might be conflicts but its like a big huge family.. we laugh, cry, fight, mourn, celebrate together as a nation.. and that each day of the year is a festival in atleast one corner of India.. and besides nothing beats Indian food. ;)
(Sorry about listing so many things, but I could still go on and write a book, there's too many things I like about India)
