IT may well be the reverse, it takes a bullet to get the ballot! Might be an idea to check out the irregularities regarding the election of the previous president namely John F Kennedy.

actually bullet is mightier then the ballots as seen during the case of louis XVI of the french in the year 1789 but nowadays it is not so. one can fight the bullet with a ballot but in the end always the bullet will rule over the ballot
