I just read an article in our local paper entitled "Westboro Baptist Church won't picket girls' funerals". This is the "church", and I use this word loosely, best known for picketing military funerals. They had planned to picket the funerals of the Amish girls who were shot in their school. They called it off because they agreed to one hour of airtime on a radio station in exchange for not picketing the funerals. I'm so angry at these people, I don't even have words to describe how I feel. Anyone mourning the death of a loved one should be able to grieve in peace! Is anyone else as ticked off about this as I am?

Mr. Johnson says no. A very firm no......Mr. Johnson most assuredly says that blacks are no longer oppressed in America.
Any non-competitiveness and inferiority is solely an invivisual and family responsibility. Anything less is a copout. Our Black folk
have an overwhelming burden of responsibliity, and the sooner they accept this and take on that mantle, the better off we all will be.
You have complete and total freedom and responsibility for your own development, my fellowman................
take it and make Mr. Johnson proud of you!

Birmingham, to be precise...How come no one gives her the credit for rising above it, and calls her an Aunt jemima? SHe ain't nobody's tom, believe me...........Mr. Johnson thinks she's a great role model, and the black man disowns her for some reason.
Mr. Johnson can't understand why, when we finally get someone in high office, they call her a "tom"?
She ain't no Tom, fellahs!

It is NOT new.
It has a long history in America, preceding violent television shows and video games.
(see additional info, below)

Arming principals and/or teachers is not the solution.
That could be fatal if innocent by-standers are accidentally shot, or the principal is accidentally taken out by police.

So what are your suggestions to protect America's most valuable resource (our children)?

History of school violence, portion from USA Today:

"The worst school attack in U.S. history occurred in 1927, when a farmer angry about school taxes blew up a school in Bath, Mich., killing 45. In 1959, a man trying to enroll his son into a Houston elementary school detonated a suitcase filled with dynamite, killing six. In 1979, a 16-year-old girl who had been given a rifle for Christmas, instead of the radio she asked for, shot from her home into an elementary school across the street in San Diego, killing two adults. Her motive: "I don't like Mondays."

- and when did she become so fond of misrepresenting the facts ? This was a new side shown by Nancy Grace . She allowed a guest blogger to make a false statement , which may have led others to believe the Speaker of The House commited a sex crime . Grace ignored the remark & as the camera closed in on her , you knew that she clearly knew the implication -yet she chose to ignore it &"go to the callers". Grace must really be slipping in ratings to suddenly "play politics". Ash Joshi , the lawyer who freed murderer Gucci Mane ( who left his victim in the woods & called it ''self-defense") is relied on for his "best shot" ? Ash Joshi - who gave an interview to ALLHIPHOP.COM in defense of NOT "snitching" on your attackers ? GIVE ME A BREAK .
What won't they do for ratings ?

Mr. Johnson isn't kidding......in the 80's, white guilt in our marvelous
"liberal" education system actuallly led to tests based on "ebonics",
or how kids speak in the ghetto....mr. johnson thinks thats about as sad as it gets...

Now, Mr.Johnson wonders why tehy can't put the responsibility
on the kids and parents to speak proper English? AIn't that an injustice to the kids? What kind of high school and college will
these d a m n kids get into, if they can get into one at all?
this ebonic stuff ain't helpin' noone nohow!

Mr Johnson has to laugh at that old cananrd of a degree given out at the height of the white guilt years in the 70's and 80's......lot of people got that degree thinkin' they could actually do something with it, not realizing that the only thing they could do with it is teach
Black History as well, sort of like a perpetual motion machine!
Those 1970's sho was funny! heehee!

When we use the term "war on terror" we are playing games with words. Unfortunately, it has an impact on the way we think.

"War" is what we fought in WW II, Vietnam and Afghanistan. What we're doing in Iraq was a war, but it had nothing to do with terrorism. Now it's a high-intensity peace-keeping operation. (No disrespect to our soldiers and airmen, who are to be commended.)

By using this misleading term, we exagerate the situation and fool ourselves into taking drastic actions. In order to start thinking in productive ways, we should change the language we use.

How about some different terms, like
-- The struggle for peace and tolerance
-- The campaign to replace fanaticism with education
-- The movement to protect civilians and non-combatants
-- The drive for airborne safety

If you have a suggestion for a better term, do you have any ideas on how to promote its usage?

Quotes by BUSH :

“In all due respect, you’ve got a beautiful face and everything.”
~ George W. Bush to Brit Hume

Well, you got a pretty face. You got a pretty face. You’re a good-looking guy. Better looking than my Scott [Press Secretary Scott McClellan] ; Bush to reporter.

Bush used to pour honey and salsa into rectums of his fellow fraternity brothers — “buttholes” as he called them.

“I want to thank my friend, Senator Bill Frist, for joining us today. You’re doing a heck of a job. You cut your teeth here, right? That’s where you started practicing? That’s good. He married a Texas girl, I want you to know. Karyn is with us. A West Texas girl, just like me.”

At his Yale Fraternity, Delta Kappa Epsilon ΔΚΕ, as fraternity president, Bush was in charge of branding initiates by burning them on their bare behinds.
