A woman hung herself and her two children yesterday. Why?

Question

Two children aged one and two. She was in her twenties.
Discovered by the husband when he came home from work.

Happened in Birmingham yesterday.

Why?

I dont know why.
I am guessing the mother was desperately ill, apperently she didnt speak English so would have been isolated.
Mothers with children that young feel isolated at the best of times.
Post Natal Depression is an awful illness. Its very sad for the father.

Some people have to be at their lowest ebb to think that suicide is the only way out. I've been there and experienced it first hand. You will only hear what the media has to say about this but you will never know why she did it or took her children with her. She probably didn't want to leave them behind. Her husband will question himself for the rest of his life but he will never make any sense of it. It's a numbing feeling to know that you couldn't be enough to stop somebody you loved doing this. Some people say that it's a cowards way out. I believe that it's the one time of when you are in control and it's a brave thing to do. If you believe in an afterlife. This lady will be with her children again when the time is right. You don't burn in hell for committing suicide. You go to a place to heal first and then on to the spirit plain. Some religious people will say that she will never be reunited with her children but she will. It's so sad that the little ones will never experience their life but it's not down to us to judge.

It is so bloody sad, those poor kids and the poor dad, can you imagine coming home to find that? It is just too awful. I guess we will never know why she done it, surely she wasn't of sane mind but it really makes me cross because there are so many agencies out there to help people with all kinds of problems. If she wanted to kill herself for whatever reason she should have spared her children, there was no need to end there lives. It's so tragic. How will the dad ever get over it...I doubt he will poor man.

I wish it was that simple, but then again I wish I could walk on the water. Desperation Depression and no way out. I just heard about it a minute ago (when I read this) WHAT A WASTE! What a fuckin spiteful thing to do! Not only to take her own life but to take her innocent children too! Why did she hate her husband so much. There's no answer on the grounds of not enough informatikon.

The Evening Standard says it was because she could not adjust to English life (she was asian) and she never left the house. But the only person that knows the real answer is her.

And to the 'paramedic' who called her a ****..wow you are in the right line of work - NOT.

Sounds like she has been depressed but how a mother can do that to her kids is beyond me ....Mental illness is a horrible thing to deal with it is a real shame she didn`t seek help , there is alot of help available ... and PND if it was that , is treatable ...don`t suffer in silence ..

my heart breaks when i hear news like this. the woman must have been desperately ill.its the kids, god i adore my 3 children and i cannot even begin to grasp how someone can do that to there kids no matter how ill. may they rest in peace

This seems to be another case of inadequate equipment in the brain department, and insufficient maturity for the very taxing job of raising children. Why do today's young think it is such a doddle?

How absolutely awful for that man!!!!! I don't know why she would do that!!! She must have been very depressed. Killing herself is one thing. But to kill her 2 children .... My heart goes out to him and his family. May God comfort him and the rest of the family.

god this is so sad. i hadnt heard. it very tradgic when mothers decide to commit sucide and take their childrens lifes aswell. i personally cant understand how any mother could do that to her children. poor things.
