Oakland, CA is real bad, so far this year alone the murder rate as of Sept 29, is 114th homicide of the year, compared to 94 homicides for all of 2005. the following link is that of a news story where an armored vehicle was robbed & a guard was shot and killed, the second link is a follow up story where they found that the dead mans partner aided in the robbery/ murder, the third link is of a man who took a woman to the ER saying that he found her in a crashed car, she died that night, the autopsy showed that she had been tortured to death, they got a warrant for the mans arrest & found he had a torture chamber in his basement, where at least 2 other persons blood was found (this happened yesterday), the fourth link is that of a woman whose body was found in an elementary school's herb garden,
There was another story (I can find the link) of a woman who was bound, and burned alive in the middle of a street. The last link is where I got my links from, there were several other stories where people got murdered, or there were shootings, or robberies, or people were missing, but the links I provided were those of the most disturbing. I am very worried cuz I live right across the bay in San Francisco, and we are pretty close to Oakland’s rate, but not nearly as gruesome, or often. People in Oakland seem to be getting killed almost every other day. I hope that it will stop; hopefully more police will be patrolling trying stop this horrific crime spree

New Orleans. Several weeks ago the governor called in the LA National Guard to patrol streets at night. Now, that is bad.
