YES!!!
I have thought this very thing.
We do not have the patience to WIN and do it right.
The PC ideology makes going after terrorists harder than it should be.
I am really worried if the "appeasement" liberals get into power.

You have a good point and I am amazed at the differences of our soldiers in World War II and Today.
I am not saying our soldier's are weak - they are far from weak, as tough as they come - BUT -the soldiers in WWII fought often overwhelming odds with far less safety equipment, and no one quit and run to Canada because they did not have bullet proof vests or bullet proof glass or objected to killing the enemy.
They fought through harsh winters without proper footwear and suffered in unbelievable ways - yet they trudged on.
And yet in spite of all our victories from then, our soldiers are bogged down by extremists whom we are required to respect their religious beliefs? If that happened in WW II, YES we would be forced to worship the Japanese Emperors and goose stepping all the way to their temples singing, "Sig Hile!"
I expect todays Red-Tape and over the top restrictions are partial blame for our lack of victory against Terrorists in the Middle East. Its as though they want us to win, by not winning. If the terrorists succeed in building complete global anti-Americanisms, you may as well start learning a little Arabic, some Russian and passing Chinese languages.

^^^^why would you report this question???^^^^
i definately think that you have a point, but these are two very different wars. we are now attempting to "save" a country full of people. i.e. - we want to be sure not to harm them.
correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure that in wwII we were just trying to protect ourselves, so we weren't as worried about who we were shooting at or bombing. i.e.- hiroshima and nagasaki.... we would never do that to iraq...
so i guess, the answer i have for you is yes, if we fought wwII the way we are fighting in iraq i would be typing in japanese or german right now, but it is also a little like comparing an apple to an orange.

Well we wouldn't have had to fight the Korean war, Vietnam or the cold war because we would have got our clocks cleaned by the Nazis and the Japanese if we talked more about body counts than why we are fighting.
