Think about it. You see and hear about it all of the time. It is purely unacceptable to bring a child into this world when you can't even afford the children you have let alone the monthly rent. First of all, The child is neglected of basic quality of life needs such as adequate housing, food, and other necessities. Secondly, and even more disturbing is that our hard working tax dollars are going to the welfare system which many people seem to abuse and continue to make poor decisions such as having more children they can't afford. It is a gross act of social and humane irresponsibility-a total disrespect to children if one can not provide financial stability for them. Strange but true, underprivelaged families have more children than middle and upper class families. Something is not right here. It just doesn't seem logical. Does anybody have an educated answer to this?

Considering that its fact that very short men have much harder lives than the general population (make less money, date much much less - if at all, or remain an involuntary virgin for life)) - would any of you ladies abort your fetus if you knew that (he) was only going to grow up to 5'3". State your answer and a rational reason.
If you WOULD NOT ABORT it - then why would you let him live and therefore suffer - (like never getting a girlfriend, never being taken seriously by anyone) ?

Notes: I mean if you hypothetically knew that IT WAS going to be a guy and you knew that he was only going to be 5'3".

I think that we would have to deal with Iraq in a couple years if we just left. Another point is that rebuilding a country takes a great deal of time. Another point is that World War II, the war with the German and Japanese Nazis, really began with a "whimper" in 1928. It did not begin with Pearl Harbor. It began with the Japanese invasion of China. It was a war for f ourteen years before America joined it. It officially ended in 194 5 - a 17 year war - and was followed by another decade of US occupation in Germany and Japan to get those countries reconstructed and running on their own again ... a 27- year war. . . . . what do you think?

Bush has served two terms. He cannot run again.
Who will you take your self-loathing out on then?

Our taxpayer-funded Israeli military terrorized the whole nation of Lebanon while supposedly only targeting the Hezbollah. Hundreds of Lebanese killed, thousands injured, at least a million homeless, devastating destruction of the bridges, highways and other infrastructure (at least 2.5 billion in damage) and the fouling of the once-beautiful Beirut beaches. Our government has not acknowledged and condemned this terrorism, so I guess we should rename our "War against terror" to "War against non-Israeli terror", because that's what it is now.

Of course, people are going to have all kinds of views on this one. I'll put my point of view accross, but its just a point of view (hard with limited words).

On the one hand, you have the Palestinian position. No state, pushed out by force. Neglected by the world, tho not so neglected by the media. Occupied by a another power, and treated pretty poorly really. (theres so much more of course)

On the other hand the Israelis (jews), a people with no home for ages, victimised for ages through Europe especially, and especially during WW2. Plently enough reason to seek refuge, and defend it as a fight for survival. Surrounded by hostile lands, attacked many, many times first. (there is so much more of course)

I think its really impractical to divide the land fairly between the two peoples. Despite the mutual distrust and hate, I think the most fair, stable and lasting solution is one state - for both people. A state with both peoples having equal rights, both sharing the land together.

Do you think John Mark Karr done it or is just crazy as hell? I think he is crazy enough to do it but in the back of my mind I think he is crazy enough to make it up to. Or do you think the parents still done it?

I may be wrong, but not one of the suicidal terrorrists was an Iraqi, an Iranian, Palestinian,Syrian,or Lebanese. Maybe one or two were Egyptians--- like Mohammed Atta?
