Considering that its fact that very short men have much harder lives than the general population (make less money, date much much less - if at all, or remain an involuntary virgin for life)) - would any of you ladies abort your fetus if you knew that (he) was only going to grow up to 5'3". State your answer and a rational reason.
If you WOULD NOT ABORT it - then why would you let him live and therefore suffer - (like never getting a girlfriend, never being taken seriously by anyone) ?
Notes: I mean if you hypothetically knew that IT WAS going to be a guy and you knew that he was only going to be 5'3".

Wow that has to be the worst question ever!!! WOW. I would not abort my baby because he was be only 5'3. I'm sure he would find a girlfriend, get a job etc. He would not be suffering because I didn't kill him. You can find love, happiness and success even if you are shorter!!!

Absolutely not! Why? One of the most respected men that teaches at my University is only about 5'3" and in truth, I never even really noticed. He is incredibly intelligent, funny, and rocks out with his band once or twice a week. He's married, has two kids and half the females in his class fawning over his ever word. If a kid grows up constantly being held back by his size, yeah, he'll grow up and let it hold him back. You don't have to be 7 feet tall to play basketball, and if you're clever, a real woman is going to respect what you say a whole lot more than she is going to respect the fact that you're 6 foot 11.

And I thought the last question I answered was stupid. Potential stature issues would be the least of my worries if I were expecting a baby. You must have had some pretty harsh peers growing up to have an attitude like that. Self respect can make a giant out of anyone. Personality makes the man.

That is the most ridiculous question I have ever heard. Are you being serious or are you joking? Why anyone would even consider aborting a fetus based on his predetermined height that society deems "too short" is beyond me. If you are that shallow then you should be sterilized. You must be kidding.

Who cares about the physical, it's the heart and soul that matter.

We do not give or take life but just do what needs done and he will provide. There is a lake of fire waiting to explode all overr the USA if we don't repent and change our ways.
If you don't want to birth a child, adopt a child. Blood is nothing, it's who you love that matters.

So a guy has to be tall to be a real person or a worthy man? OMG that is the stupidest question. Let's just kill off the short people. Ok Hitler, I am not a guy but I am married and I have a son and I can't believe that you asked that? A good man can be short, tall, thin, fat and that is that.

You know, that's quite a fascinating question! IT really gets you thinking, after reading everyone elses answers.. I'd have to say I agree with all of them... I know someone who is unbelievably sweet andsmart and good looking, but he's like, 5' 3". That's not a problem!
I don't think I would want to abort... No...
However, I understand that it would probably hurt his ego a bit to be a bit short, but that's life, hunnie!

iam not a lady, but every life deserves a chance to live so what the problem of just being 5'3? its not a sin, its cruel if u abbort the child just because of that reason, let it life, how would you know he would suffer? with the love that u would provide, it would be like a shield from all the sufferings,and hatred, he doesnt need a girl friend, what he needs is just you and its mother, and the love you'll provide to him, :)

You've got to be kidding or delusional. A 5'3'' man needn't suffur any more than a 6'3'' man would. There are 5'2'' women and women who will date shorter men. I don't know where you are coming from. How tall was Napolean Bonaparte? If you were his mother and with your attitude, he might well suffer. Good Grief!

whoah!!! what a weird question!!! there are entire cultures/races of people where the men are very short like that. of all colors.
i know that some women actually find the smaller guys hot. believe it or not.
i dont see how someones height would affect the quality of their life. after all - life is what you make it. it takes all sorts to make this crazy world.
so no i would not abort it. thats crazy. I would raise him to be a big big man no matter what his height.
