The chritians think so but it's not. The country is supposed to be a melting pot of different types of people in spite of christian radicals.

There are more christians than any other religious group in America. However, the constitution does not impose any religion nor believes other than to allow all to be free to think freely. Anyone who does not respect the rights of others, does not belong in America.

Well, I'm trying to be a good Christian, and I've always thought that America was for America. For everybody and anybody and whatever color or religion or original nationality or even sexual orientation. My ancestors came here to get away from the bigotted kinds of attitudes you are suggesting american christians now have. Much as I think we ought to keep the welcome mat out, our country is very opinionated (one of the things that makes it great and irritating at the same time). I can't speak for everybody, but I think America is for everyone who wants it.

Christians are in important places in the government. You see at the moment that a lot of decisions are taken by Christians and it not for the good. Gay people are more and more discriminated, it is not accepted to help someone to end his or hers life if he or she is in very great pain...but deathpenalty is still there...Is called the home of the free??? It is more the land of the small minded

No the whole point of immigrants coming here was to have the freedom of following any religion they choose. It's religious fanatics now that make this country look bad. America accepts all different kinds of people, not only the ones that follow Jesus.

Nothing on earth is only for christians, for God gave to man the earth and all in it. Few, if any, believe this. In fact, america was founded for everyone to believe whatever they wanted to believe.

No, it isn't. Have you read Common Sense by Thomas Paine?
"For myself, I fully and conscientiously believe that it is the will of the Almighty that there should be a diversity of religious opinions among us. It affords a larger field for our Christian kindness; were we all of one way of thinking, our religious dispositions would want matter for probation; and on this liberal principle I look on the various denominations among us to be like children of the same family, differing only in what is called their Christian names."

Most probably don't, a few whackos still think that way.
I practice an occult religion you could say and nobody bothers me.
Most Christians are very cool, its the right wing bible thumpers that are scary. And they don't fly airplanes into buildings, nothing to be scared about.

I believe that anybody who wants to can celebrate Christmas. But originally, only Christians celebrated Christmas for religious reasons.
