My neighbors are not hoods, but down the street they are selling drugs. I want some ideas on how to clean up "El Rincon de Drogas". I thought of walking the baby with the dogs, but they are thuggin'. Drive by shooting last week, and alot of police activity.

I've started taking pictures of the cars that come and go from the house in question in hopes I can pass them along to the police officers handling this case.

What do you all suggest to clean it up?

Where were the British Frigates? Why weren't strike teams called in and those Iranian ships sunk? I think we should repond with 20,000 lbs right in the heart of Tehran! Ahmedejian and Ahyatolla need to understand what the WORLD is demanding and not the US!

I'm so tired of "what killed Anna Nichole Smith?" "Who's the father of her baby?" or "John Edwards' wife has cancer." Why should I give a damn about any of these people? Hundreds of thousands of people have cancer at this moment and most of us know friends & family that are fighting this battle. If I hear anything else about this ambulance chaser parading his wife around like she's some kind of political martyr I'm going to scream!!! (Was that a question?)

Gates Reportedly Wanted to Close Gitmo
Reuters
WASHINGTON (March 23) - Soon after becoming defense secretary, Robert Gates argued the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, should be closed because the international community would view any trials there as tainted, The New York Times reported on Thursday.

Instead, Gates, who became Pentagon chief in December, argued that terrorism suspects should be tried in the United States to make the proceedings more credible, the Times said.

The United States has brought charges against just one of the 385 foreign captives at Guantanamo. Australian David Hicks, 31, has been accused of providing material support for terrorism by fighting for al Qaeda in Afghanistan .

Hicks is charged under a new system of war crimes trials authorized by the U.S. Congress last year.

The United States has declared its intention to try 60 to 80 of the 385 foreign captives held at Guantanamo, including 14 "high-value" prisoners sent there in September from secret CIA prisons.

Some administration lawyers oppose bringing the captives into the United States because that would give them more constitutional and statutory rights, the newspaper said.

The Bush administration has insisted it needs to hold and try suspects at Guantanamo as part of its war against terrorism launched after the September 11 attacks on the United States.

I read a lot of questions and answers here where people seem to 'tar everybody with the same brush'.
They see foreigners in their country as a group of problem people who should all go back home.
Why is this?
Surely a person arriving in a country should be judged based on their personal credentials instead of the country they were born in?
Imagine if you had to choose between the following 2 people to live next door to you:
a) A muslim refugee asylum seeker who had trained to be a nurse and was a kind hearted person;
b) A white native man who had served a prison sentence for violence and assault and still showed signs of aggression without remorse,

surely you would choose to live next door to the nurse?

So why do some people see the likes of the nurse as a "second class citizen" over the violent white man who was just released from prison and shows no sign of remorse?

Help me understand.
