they are already. But, naturally, the don't want to advertise that because self-preservation is a tad more important than an abstract war on terror not aimed at them. However, they are one of the most helpful in the region, even if by helping, it means staying out of it and not helping the enemy

Yes they would. They've been one of the stable forces in the Middle East for some time. Their goals are the same as the USA's, a peaceful and prosperous Middle East.

Probably not going to happen, but it's a nice thought.

Probably not. Everyone is kind of at a stage where they dislike the US because of all of the war.
