They see America (or England or Israel) very strong to destroy everything from the air (like in Afghanistan, Irak, Serbia, Liban) but very weak to take the control on the ground against a determined guerilla. It is just because a guerilla is defending their mother land... Russians had far more soldiers in Afghanistan than the current coalition, they killed a larger number of Afghans and they were finally obliged to withdraw. The population of Iran is three times the population of Irak and ten times the population of Afghanistan...

Those are all impressions flashed over to them via liberal media and internet. The USSR did not see America that way during the Reagan era because we presented a strong united impression to the world. We have allowed such images to make us appear more vulnerable, but in reality, that is not the case. Hitler thought he could roll over America as well...it didn't happen.
