My neighbors are not hoods, but down the street they are selling drugs. I want some ideas on how to clean up "El Rincon de Drogas". I thought of walking the baby with the dogs, but they are thuggin'. Drive by shooting last week, and alot of police activity.

I've started taking pictures of the cars that come and go from the house in question in hopes I can pass them along to the police officers handling this case.

What do you all suggest to clean it up?

Does your neighborhood or city already have a citizen' crime watch or some sort of civic group, even if it's inactive? If it does, you can tap into their resources and put more people behind your process. There's power in numbers.

You need a means of self defense and KNOW HOW TO USE IT! It does no good to keep a weapon in the house if you dont even know how to load it. Taking pictures and documenting what is going on is a good idea, but dont let them see you doing it. Keep extra copies of everything somewhere outside the neighborhood ina safe place. abe watchful when you go to report things. If your city government is corrupt (and most of them are) there is a chance that these drugrunners have connections there. If you see any evidence of corruptness at the lower levels of the government, move up on the ladder with your complaints..
Try to organize the neighborhood, there is some strength in numbers.
Just be very very careful. You will have to become something of a warrior to defend your neighborhood, and that is your right.

While your bravery desire to clean up your neighborhood is admireable, you need to let the police to their job.

You should be as discrete when taking pictures of persons suspected of patronizing the drug dealers. You and your family are easy targets for retaliation.

Instead of putting your safety and life at risk, contact your local newspaper, start a letter writing campaign to the police chief, develop a neighborhood association. Each of these can be more safe and effective than what you have done so far. And, the benefits are more enduring.

Be careful and alert.
Keep a record and pictures and notify police often until the offenders get the hint and hopefully move on.
Try not to become a martyr because more fearful neighbors will " throw you under the bus" to save their own butt.
Stay low profile but active.

Its time for our citizens to be armed. None of this anti gun talk. Let those thugs know that you are armed and if threatened will use it. Your neighborhood should be safe for your 4 year old to walk around.

Also. All politicians and law enforcement MUST take regular, random drug tests. Did you know that it is not required for politicians? So these crooks are using drugs and not really trying to rid our streets of them and the dealers. Demand Drug tests for your local, state and federal politicians and all civil servants.
