Palestinians cease missile fire from Gaza 0600 Sunday, Nov. 26 - for real or a maneuver? November 26, 2006, 12:47 AM (GMT+02:00)

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office has responded favorably. PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas was informed by Hamas of the decision and passed the word to PM Ehud Olmert who confirmed that all the Palestinian terrorist groups led by Hamas agreed to stop firing missile attacks and using suicide bombers. The Palestinian step is conditional on Israel halting military operations, liquidations and demolitions.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report: Hamas and its allied terrorist groups have been feeling intense heat from successful pinpointed IDF operations taking place in the last week against Qassam missile squads and commanders in the northern Gaza Strip. The terrorists are also worried by the possibility of the former chief of staff Ehud Barak taking over in defense.

When is the public going to realize that our mainstream media in the West is really a corporate media and very much controlled by Zionist Jews? Why would a letter like the following not get published in the Toronto Star? It raises an issue of conscience regarding our taxes, and directs attention to the life of a truly brave woman who deserves a lot more publicity than TomKat's recent wedding. For how long do the Zionists think they can get away with controlling news?

Dear Sir

Re: War of words (November 18)

I am baffled as to why the play My Name Is Rachel Corrie should be considered controversial. Here's a woman who was bulldozed to death in yet another routine act of crime against humanity by the state of Israel. What should be controversial, and in fact explored, is the silence by our media and acquiescence by our government at such immence atrocities by this terrorist nation. I feel guilty that our taxes are supporting Israel through tax deductible donations.

When people say things about

- The extreme poverty in america
-The rising obesity rates
-The war
-9/11 etc....

People get soo angry and post ignorant commenst defending the goverment, very rarely do i come across and american with common sense, to see through the "freedom" propaganda and the lies, so many of you have to face up to reality about your goverment. The goverment doesnt give a dam about the people, the only thing they care about is $$$ and we all know it, oviously they have to run the country, but some people know the truth to the iraq war and 9/11.

In the past few days I've read about or seen the following things:

- a man is shot to death on the day of his wedding
- college police use a tazer on a student who was using a computer in a room without the required pass
- a police officer repeatedly punches a criminal in the face while the criminal is subdued

What's going on?

You don't see this sort of stuff happening in other Western countries, at least to this extent.

South Korea is becoming another strong economy with Western values of democracy/capitalism.

There are many people suffering in North Korea due to poor leadership. Still, they're very much as Korean as the people from South Korea.

I hope they could one day unite, to allow a better life for the many suffering citizens of North Korea.

Is there any way that South Korea could one day unite/manage a unified Korea?

when Muslims commit atrocities on each other like they are in Iraq. It disgusts me to hear that a doll was booby-trapped and killed 3 children who went to pick it up, that over 200 Shiites died in attacks on their neighborhood and that 7 Sunni men were burned alive as they came out of a mosque, and several Mosques were burnt down in revenge attacks. Where are all those Pakistanis now, twiddling their thumbs or what???
