Why would it be scary! Saudi is an ally, he is trying to get them to pressure the Iraqi Sunni Muslims to chill out and stop attacking the Shiite. The U.S is desperate to calm things down a little. After the recent elections, bush is trying diplomacy for a change!!
Who knows, might actually work. Obviously war did not

I'd suspect he was making arrangments to have all of Iraq's OIL poured through the Saudi Aabian pipelines so people wouldn't find out that all that OIL is coming from Iraq, because no one in the Bush administration wants Americans to think they started an illegal, unconstitutional war over OIL. -RKO-

He wants them to stop funding the terrorists and sending their teen-agers there to fight the Shiites.I doubt they will help stop the war one way or another.Many are just trying to wear us down so we will leave the middle east entirely.-opinion
