Some people just have a false sense of patriotism, and others simply do not care what is going on so long as it does not stop them from going to the clubs or starbucks lol.

I really don't think most people have a grip on what is really going on in this country
(I don't see where the Gov has anything to do with obesity that is lazy people who cant take the time to cook a healthy meal)
People with money don't care about poor the government even democrats who are to help the poor people
9/11 How soon we forget the other times they have struck the US and other Countries not too long ago they tried to blow up the tunnel in NY and the St.Building in NY explosives in a van in the parking lot under ground
It's easier to follow and live with blinders on than be free and use your brain and pay attention

Americans have always been critical of government. A Republic is a government of the people, for the people, but not all people all the time. Americans have the benefit of voting out those who suck. For the most part the U. S. of A. has done very well for itself. Sure others may despise them for being so powerful, covert, and commercial.
Everyone loves to scapegoat, cheer for an underdog, romanticize a rebel.
People cheer a champion but secretly desire that champion to fail spectacularly.
Who can resist seeing a train-wreck?
Bottom line is that America needs to be a bully. You don't win against evil by letting the bastards get away with murder, and no one else is up to the task.

Lincoln at his 1863 Gettysburg address ". . . government of the people, by the people, for the people,
shall not perish from the earth."
However, at the age of 28, he also said- to paraphrase- that if America is to be destroyed, it will be by Americans.
"At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide."
"I know the American People are much attached to their Government;--I know they would suffer much for its sake;--I know they would endure evils long and patiently, before they would ever think of exchanging it for another. Yet, notwithstanding all this, if the laws be continually despised and disregarded, if their rights to be secure in their persons and property, are held by no better tenure than the caprice of a mob, the alienation of their affections from the Government is the natural consequence; and to that, sooner or later, it must come.
Here then, is one point at which danger may be expected.
The question recurs, "how shall we fortify against it?" The answer is simple. Let every American, every lover of liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution, never to violate in the least particular, the laws of the country; and never to tolerate their violation by others." Lincoln on Jan. 27,1838.
A significant lesson of 168 years past for Congress and the People. Yet, Congress has become- as a representative of the people- arrogant, ignorant, full of self importance.
The intellect of America is as keen as anywhere in the World. But the "intelligence" is what a competent psychologist would call, "sub-norm."
The currrent regime has made America, excepting for its formidable weaponry, irrelevent. Good people have been internationally besmirched.
The return road to respect nearly lost in a vanishing point it is so distant.

it's very strange how gullible most of the world public are when faced with catastrophe. have you noticed any wreckage of any aircraft that supposedly hit the side of the pentagon? a side that was already under some form of construction. no tail, no wing fragments, no fuselage nor even a hint of under-carriage, yet the people take what they are told as gospel. people kiss up to governments because thats how it's always been. the fact that you don't hear about the truth and reality of things is that they would scare you half to death if you knew what it was really all about

They have a false and exaggerated sense of pride in many things that they do and that they have. They have a skewed sense of history. When they donate or help with some intention they think the donee is not worth any thing.Their national identity is steeped into wealth which they incidentally possess.By supporting the government they pat themselves and their ego.

To make it simple- too many people here(US) listen and believe whatever the media might say. Also, some people think that you HAVE to like the government if you want to be proud of your country.
