30000 people die of hunger each day,
3000 people die of malaria each day,
over 6000 people die of AIDS each day in Africa alone,
4000 children die of diarrhea each day.

These deaths are the real tragedy.

News networks only show a few people, and then they get cut off.
i find it to be disrespectful. not everyone could attend, so they only best way for those to be there is to see it on tv. how can these people hear the names of their loved ones if the news network won't show them?

.....use one of those western inventions, they for f''k knows why, keep trying to f''k-up for others, to meet like-minded people, who share their views, and set up self governing communes n take a chill-pill, instead of trying their damndest to screw up our lives,

I understand that people want a toough response to terrorists and I agree. However, I have a problem with those who wish to use a system that is outside of traditional miltiary law for this purpose. The military law addresses our concerns about classified information and other matters. We do not need special laws for these people because they will create problems for us down the line.

On September 11.2001 Comercial Airliners struck the North and South towers of The World Trade Center, and the Pentagon. The Pentagon was restored completely within the follow year. The World Trade Center is still in Limbo. It is interesting to me that it is a reflection of the state of the United States. The Pentagon is a symbol of the Military and quickly resolved its self to resolving the problems. The World Trade Center is a symbol of the commercial might of the US and therefore a Civillian Symbol. Yet today amid this anniversary of the attacks it remains a hole in the civillian psyche.LEST WE FORGET. That was the motto of the day in 2001. Yet now we are as divided, as the architects and planners, and survivors, and the Government of New York as to what to do with this Hole in the Ground. Comments please!

The planes crashed into the corners of the buildings, how did the buildings fall in a vertical position?!
when engineers make a building collapse, they do researches on how to put the dynamites in special places so that it collapses vertically, now how did the WTC collapse very accuratly vertically????

i saw a documentry the other day about people who were trapped in the elevators, and another showing minute by minute as it happen (with so reinactment).

with the elevators, some elevators were equipt with special doors to prevent people from opening them if they should become stuck in them. the only way open them was with a crowbar.

the minute by minute (with reanactment) showed how many stairwells were locked both from above the impact (which could have been their olny way out), and locked from most other spots that pretty much slowed down the rescue, and exiting times.

what else did the WTC have problems with?

I visited the towers in May of 2001. I went to the top. The towers were a busy, bustling place of business. The top was full of gift shops and food courts. I saved all my receipts from my New York trip and still have the WTC ones. It's so erie, the receipt has the servers name on it and I can't help but wonder if the person is still living.

When I visited the towers months before the attack, it was a foggy day. At the top of the towers you could NOT see a thing. At the time of the visit, I thought, "Boy a plane could hit these towers because they couldn't see them!"

So when I heard a plane hit one of the towers, I figured it was because of the fog. I wish it was now...

Anyway, leave an "answer" to this "question" by simply leaving a memorial or a small prayer for all the victims and their families. And tell me where you were and the first thing you thought when you heard about this tragedy.

I personally have no fear of moslems although I wouldn't want to be in a moslem country, in the US I don't have an issue with them. Howver the people that are here from Louisiana and central america that bring their gangs and violence to my city are alot more of a problem to me. My freedom hasn't been taken away by moslems and I live 1 block from a mosque, my freedon has been taken away by the hispanics and blacks. I can't walk down my street after dark because of them. Almost all murders in my city are committed by hispanics and blacks, never a moslem although they are often the victims of these thugs when they are shot and robbed at their stores and businesses.

or the bombing in Oklahoma City? They are being preempted every year for 9/11. Over a thousand people died in Hurricane Katrina and over 300 in Oklahoma City, and people are still suffering because of them. What makes one tragedy more important than another?
