News networks only show a few people, and then they get cut off.
i find it to be disrespectful. not everyone could attend, so they only best way for those to be there is to see it on tv. how can these people hear the names of their loved ones if the news network won't show them?

I agree with you but it's about ratings. Although many people would want to see the names read, a greater majority would "get bored" with it and the networks know those people are more likely to watch images of gore, violence, masochistic reliving of the emotional pain of the day.
Maybe you should write to the networks and tell them this, or maybe even get a petition going, to try to get them to do this on the next anniversary. I think that would be a wonderful way for you to honor our lost people.

I was going to ask this question. I am glad you brought it up. Thanks. I would think that for one day the media could bend the rules and allow one complete reading of the names...Just like they do with the car chases, or breaking news...seems really disrespectful of the tragedy known as 9/11. Shame on you television producers.... shame on YOU!!!!

excellent question by the way!!!!!! thumbs up

9/11 has been televised and televised for 5 years now ... you need to get your own "9/11 chanel" if you want more.
