No, but 40' definately can't be right. You are almost in whale territory there.

I'm sorry I can not answer your question accurately. I know that tuna are quite large, but can I offer a joke? Man go's into fishmongers and asks for a tuna fish. How long would you like it? Say's the fishmonger. I would like to keep it, says the man.

I doubt this. They usually cite weight and the largest tuna weighed oved 1000lbs but lengths over 8ft are rare

they are pretty big you know! It all depends on the size of the tin youve got to contain it of course?!
