I was at work. I work at a federal job and we had all types of alarms going off. Flashing lights and red alert being repeated over and over. I live in chicago. They told all of us to leave the building and go home and not wait outside like a drill. The whole area was crowded with cars leaving the business disrict. When I got home I was glued to the TV. It was so unreal. Five years later i think they need to let the souls of the people rest in peace and stop reliving and showing the destruction to their families who are probably still hurting today. I refused to watch that movie on TV yesterday. I think it would be too hard to watch. I'm not doing anything special today. I was a little apprehensive about coming to work though. I always am on he anniversary, but I came anyway.

i was on holiday in Menorca with my husband. we were having a siesta ;-) and i received a text from my dad. we immediatly switched on the cable TV and sat transfixed as the horror unfolded. the next 5 days were unbearable. i just wanted to be at home. not in a foreign country. we felt a million miles away from eveyone.

A friend called to tell me NY was being bombed so we turned on the living room tv, and saw the 2nd building being crashed into. It was unbelievable, like everyone knows.

i was in school, i was in 9th grade, i remember walking in the class and seeing the tv on, at the time, the first tower was already hit, but not the second, and my teacher was watching the tv closely. that day we really didn't do anything at school.
