they have whole villages full of young single men but no women for them to date/marry. They have effectively controlled their population explosion in one generation, Simply because they killed all the little girls that were born. Was I the only person that cried watching the documentaries of the little girls left to die and then cried at all the single young men?

I am looking for a book on the life story of Reverend J. A. De Laine, a pioneer in the Clarendon County SC's case Briggs v. Elliott. This case went to the Supreme Court and was one of the cases that made up Brown v. Board of Topeka KS. I am trying to fine his story. This would have been published maybe in the 50's or 60's.

Iran Pushes For Talks Without Conditions
Iran offered yesterday to enter into immediate and "serious" negotiations on a broad range of issues with the Bush administration and its European allies but refused to abide by a U.N. Security Council demand that it suspend work at its nuclear facilities by the end of the month.

I keep hearing that Shiia are the worst, they are mostly uneducated, illiterate, close minded, violent, angry and breed like rabbits.
They live in Lebanon but care about it the least, they care mostly about Iran and want Iran's benefit.
Once i was in a sooccer match between Lebanon and Iran, and the lebanese shiites were encouraging Iran.
I really think that removing all Shiites from lebanon and sending them to Iran would solver 99% of lebanon's problems. What do you think?

For example. More people believe that Nuclear power is bad. But in truth it's safe and clean energy. But they don't want to believe that because it's good news. They'd rather believe it's dangerous and bad.
People also believe that Bush is an idiot warmonger. They'd rather believe that than a brilliant man who just isn't good at public speaking.
They believe that the war in Iraq is going horribly wrong, instead of believing all the good things that are going on.
They believe in global warming, and that we're causing it. They'd rather believe that (bad) than the fact that the Earth has a cycle, this is totally normal, and the average temperature raise is only like a degree or so (good).

Why do people believe bad news before they believe good news?

Israel went into Lebanon, bombed buildings, economical infrastructures, bombed cars with kids in them etc...
Israel has been identified by amnesty international as breaking human rights. Do you think this is ok? do you think Israel should be punished? that it should pay Lebanon for the crimes it did?
the proof of my claim is here:
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/753972.html

This article is on an israeli newspaper, so it's a valid source.

My point is that i'm against hizbullah and Israeli action. I disagree with wars and crimes. But i do beleive that Israel went overboard, bombed almost anything that they suspected was hizbullah and didn't care for civilians. And don' tell me that they warned civilians to flee, they did so to look good on the media. But behind the scenes, no one was told the truth: roads were bombed and cars with families in them were being shot at by Israel.
Israel did what they wanted , and gave excuses that the world accepted. what do u think?

I ask this because the USA has become bogged down in Iraq and Afghanistan. They may have won the war (debateable even that) but they are certainly making a mess of the peace. The most likely outcome in Iraq will be that Iran will actually be running things via proxy leaders - that must be a nightmare for the USA. Also the USA's proxy, Israel, has also failede in its war objectives vis a vis eliminating Hiozbollah. So really if a Superpower can't do these fairly simple things what's the point of being a Superpower?

When someone really important is giving a speech I've noticed these transparent slightly tented plate looking things near by the person speaking. Usually there are two of them, one on each side and they are slightly ahead and angled towards the person. What are they? I really don't know where to put this question either!
