Seems like the battle popped up out of nowhere. Isreal attacs and invade in what is clearly an over-reaction. Seems fishy. Notice how much media is now on the conflict and NOT Iraq?

We will have to enlist Wal-Mart's help on this one.
We need to airlift 3 million air conditioning units to southern Lebanon.
Once they are no longer living in opressive heat it will be like "Death to Isreal and Death to America but its 109 out and its so cool inside. and TVLand has a Good Times marathon, so Ill worry about bombing them tomorrow.
Thank Allah and Walmart! Pass the popcorn

The reason so many in Bay St. Louis/Waveland, Ms. did not evacuate is that, if their property did not flood in the horrific Hurricane Camille, they remained behind for various reasons-one reason was to protect their homes from looting. Looters even come from other states to loot; ie. they must consider it a job opportunity. A friend there said "Queen Camille killed more people in Bay St. Louis/Waveland in 2005 than she did in the 1960s! Some people there are still living in tents on their house slabs because it is nearly impossible to find anyone to work. If it had not been for church groups, various organizations, and illegal aliens, there would not have been any progress much at all. According to the historian Douglas Brinkley in his new book "The Great Deluge" the devastation was even worse in BSL/Waveland because our town was immediately on the side of the storm where the winds were the worse. This disaster shows to the world that we are vulnerable to any sort of threat.

Let's consider Mel Gibson and the honorable man he truly is. The key word to that comment is man. As a man, he is human, not infallible.-Put yourself in his shoes. Mr. Gibson poured everything he has into telling the truth behind his religious convictions, and what does he get in return? Nothing but hatred and venomous backbiting from people from all walks of life. The personal attacks on his works, his beliefs and his life must have been a tremendous burden to bear. All of the attacks must have worn him to a frazzle spiritually, physically and emotionally.-Why do people of much less conviction care so little that they would denigrate him and his entire life over one instance that they themselves pushed him to?
I believe certain groups put so much pressure on him that he could have been consumed by trying to respond so that all of the traumatic experiences he has lived thru doueto his beliefs caused him to lash out without actually considering the consequences. -Give the kid a break.

I'm in central NJ. It's 11:45PM and 90 degrees. We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter and a 2 month old son. Our power was out for nearly 2 hours and just came back on ... thankfully! We tried to cool off in the pool but the water was 88 degrees!

Are you experiencing a heat wave? Where are you located? Did you lose your power at any point? For how long?

I am visiting Florida from California, and I haven't bought a plane ticket back to LA yet. Should I go party on South Beach, or stock up on canned goods?
