No one really has the freedom of speach in there own country, wherever they live!
In the UK we have the PC Brigade and are told that we can't say this and that for fear of offendind certain groups.
In countries around the middle east, obviously it is worse.
In the states, speak out against Bush and you will find that you are actually in line for interrogation and possibly Jail because the "Patriotism act"
and the list goes on.
We may have more freedom in "Comparism" to certain countries but NO ONE has complete freedom to say what they want.

In the U.K freedom of expression is enshrined in s.12 of the Human Rights Act 1998. Previous to this Act, the U.K. Government abided by the European Convention on Human Rights which also conferred the right to Freedom of Expression.

If you are a itizen of a member state of the European Union, then you may similarly have the same right of freedom of expression under the European convention on Human Rights.

Here in America, we are told we have a freedom of speech but if you disagree with some people you will pay for your comment.
Rarely, but true, sometimes with your life.
Bosses will fire you, family members will disown you, friends will leave you, spouses will either beat you or leave you.
So, just because we have the "freedom" it's not smart to always use it.

We all have the freedom of speech (freedom to speak). Some people, like you, only face more suppression than others.

Hungary

Yes and no... It's illegal to say things that may incite violence(example: "let's kill all Serbs" lol) and you also can't name brands on TV (unless it's a commercial). If you insult someone in public, you can also expect a fine.

Not legally, there are also other rules. For example, there was a politician who made a stupid joke about the Jewish holocaust. It has no legal consequences, but he had to resign because he lost popularity.

i agree with freedom of speech in theory, I'm not a minority in any sense. I'm white healthy, sporty, got both parents and no disability's but i can't see y freedom of speech has to go out of its way to insult peoples race or creed, speech or disability and belief! that's not freedom of speech that's bullying!!!!!!!
