I am visiting Florida from California, and I haven't bought a plane ticket back to LA yet. Should I go party on South Beach, or stock up on canned goods?

LMAO,,,I see you have never been in a hurricane.Trust me being from New Orleans and going through alot of them,go home if you can.Do not wait until the last minute,that's when people get hurt.If you don't want to go home,then make sure you board up the windows and hold on because it can get rough.

Try to get a plane ASAP. Meanwhile, stock up on canned goods if you can't get a plane on such short notice. Even if you feel the urge to party, uh-yeah---don't be stupid, confused.

If you are staying in a hotel, ask them what you should do. They are experienced in this and probably are already stocked up.
If you are staying with friends or family, they should be prepared with batteries, bottled water, etc.

Turn on the Weather Channel and watch the local news--they will give you the info you need to make a decision.

um catergory 1 hurricanes dnt do much damage well i live here in miami n sumtimes dnt even struck us it hits up north...well sumtimes wen hurricanes south beach haves hurricanes partys n it gets good so u should have fun! trust me it wnt do much damage-------4rm a person who had over 17 hurricane experiences

i was in miami for hurricane jeane a couple years ago and they had a city wide evacuation and the hurricane missed the city completely. really lame.
