At the moment I use phosphorus pellets around my vegetabals to kill off slugs and snails on contact. The problem is I have to re-apply the stuff whenever there is rain, which is becoming an expensive way to protect my shoots! Can you give me a soloution (which is organic) to kill off/detter slugs and snails, weather proof, inexpensive and long lasting (meaning not having to go outside everyday to re-apply stuff around my crops). Any soloutions which fulfill all or some of my criteria will be welcomed. Thank you.

I want to replace a floor approx. 200 sq. ft. The current floor is wood over lino with a few pieces of plywood in between. The wood is fit in not nailed down. What is most economical, dyi friendly, and durable for an entry way/kitchen/living space all in one...wood, tile (stone, ceramic) or a "Prego" like product?
I'm looking for the approx. cost for that size space, including supplies....and if I can do it in a day all the better. I have some skills but not a pro. Thanks.

This shouldn't really be such a major problem, but it really is for me. Okay. Here is the problem.
I buy some really cute clothes at my favorite stores. and then i start thinking. wait. I know when I wash them they will fade and not look brand new anymore. They start looking faded about two months after I buy them, and it gets me soooo mad, because I know other people get new clothes and they look new for years!!!
And my white shirts get yellow spots under the armpit after I wash them. Can someone please
suggest the right washing and drying cycle that would not harm my clothes anymore? I would REALLY appreciate it!!!
and if you know a good detergent or any
laundry product, that would help!!

The trees are on the border between the two houses but could be considered part of both properties.

I have an old tobacco barn, and most of the green shingle material has fell off. I would like to know if anyone knows what this material is called, and where I could by some more. It is about 2 foot wide and looks like it would come in long rolls. The texture of it is just like the texture of shingles. Any help would be appreciated.

I have had people tell me not to water my roses during the heat of the day.
When is the best time to water?
I do water during the day but I don’t get the water on the leaves. I water at the base of the bush.
Any suggestions?

I need a nice name for a new, 4-star, luxury, hotel apartment project. The property is located in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
The name should not be an existing trademark and should preferably not contain the letter "P". This is because the Arabs cannot pronounce a "P" sound... so "Pepsi" be comes "Bebsi". The building is a 20-storey tower and is located in the heart of the city.

I recently moved to a house - fairly big (2000sqft). Unfortunately, whenever anyone opens a tap or the shower in the bathrooms or the kitchen noise carries across the entire house. What could be the problem? Water pressure?

My lilac bush is rather tall about 8 feet, with lots of green leaves. Not too many flowers. Most are at the top. the flowers are finished blooming and green seeds are forming where they were. Is it too late to do any thing now? if not, what should i do? Is dead heading taking just the part that flowered or more of that stem?

The rot is in two places, the bottom board that holds a glass window pane and in the bottom 10 inches of one of the vertical supports.

Is there any way to "treat" the wood to strengthen the existing structure and prevent any further rot or will I have to have the patio doors reframed?
