Women's Health - August 2007

I was just recently diagnosed with pcos. After about year of different diagnosis from different doctors, i've finally had the necessary steps to find out what is going on with me. Anyway i'm new to this so i'd like to hear from other people..what is there experience with this syndrome? My man and I have been trying to conceive, what are our chance? My doctor has me on birth control for three month to get rid of the follices that are on both my ovaries, but she said they're the same size on both ovaries, is that good? She also has me on metformin...I could use advice from people that have gone through it, please help.

I don't have sex. I'm still a virgin and I don't have a boyfriend. The world is so messed up today I should really say I don't have any physical contact with any boys.. or girls INSTEAD. anyway but i'm so concerned about why my period isn't here. It was suppose to be here 3 days ago. I'm on the 31st day of my cycle [I counted from the 1st day of my last period until today...31 DAYS NO PERIOD]
It feels like my period is coming... but it's been like this for 3 days now..... i'm not getting the cramps but i feel the discomfort.. I keep wearing pads and taking midol/tylenol pills so that it doesn't surprise me in the morning....... and is annoying the hell out of me... BECAUSE IT ISN'T HERE.

i have a brownish discharge that smells fishy. no burning when i pee. i dont think i really itch, i'm just parranoid but i went on birth control sunday the 12th(day 1 of my period) and bled for a lot longer then my normal period....like two weeks and now the blood has stopped but ihave a brown gooey discharge that smells. I remember it hurting a little when i pee'd after i had rough sex but i assumed it being cuz it was rough and i was already sore from sex earlier since i just recently lost my virginity. I've never had unprotected sex and only one sex partner...so could it be gonorrhea? PLEAE helpi'm like panicing!

I am scheduled for breast reduction surgery in 1 week. My PS asked me to stop smoking for 3 months (which I did) with the exception of a couple on the weekend here and there. I am now freaking out that I smoked a couple last weekend and will end up with complications. Should I ask my surgeon or just go through with it?

I started BC two months ago and have had my period five times since I started. I recently quit taking my BC pills. Does this mean that the BC was not right for me? I got the pills free from the free clinic since I do not have health insurance. Are there other places that offer BC for women with next to no income?

I have gone through an early menopause, usual symptons, loss of periods, more facial hair, weight gain and hot flushes,but perhaps the worst sympton is my iritability towards my family. i moan at kids constantly for not tidying away their cups, trainers. and try to find things wrong in words or actions of my partner of two years. when im in good mood we have a great time, but when i blow i blow. help

I have suffered from menstrual migraines monthly and have tried many pain relievers which only medicate the pain not balance my hormones at that time to prevent the imbalance that triggers it.
I tried synthetic hormones which were unsuccessful plus had many side effects from it. I have heard and read about bio-identical hormones and would really appreciate it if any one here personally has had any success with it.

I dont have no itching, burning or pain during sex. Its just so unpleasent. Its not there everyday. It mostly comes when Ive been working out or I have been busy most of the day. Im a very clean person and I have one partner. I recently went to the doctor and she tells me that I dont have any infections. Is there any natural remedies or what I could eat to releive this? I hate the smell that stays after having sex. Please help!!

My boyfriend and i have had sex 3 times and everytime my vagina gets itchy and feels swollen afterward, usually the next day. The first two times we used durex but i figured it was because of that so he got the ultra ribbed trojans, the ones that i usually use. ive never had a problem with trojans before so i dont know what could be wrong. im 2 months shy of 18 so i cant go to the doctor by myself. so i dont know what to do.

i have a hormonal imbalance and my doctor is probably going to put me on pills that contain eostragen to even my hormones out.im 14 and i just have a few questions...

1.i have excess hair all over my body....will this go away after treatment?

2.will i put on wieght(i want to because im too skinny!)and will my boobs get bigger(because they're 32a(barely)now...??

3.will my periods even out?????
