You don't have to shave.

Men actually prefer hair there.

It all just depends on your preference. Some women prefer to shave, others don't. Personally, I do. I find myself less self concious, especially when my husband goes down on me. Some men enjoy hair, while others prefer that their women have none. However, this should be your choice, and not his.

I shave daily, because I don't like the look of ingrown hairs, etc. If this is your first time shaving, use scissors to help trim up excess hair. This can make shaving easier. Also, use shaving gel and a clean, new razor.

Shave in the direction that your hair grows first. You will have some itching the first few times, but once you start shaving daily or as needed, this tends to go away and isn't as bad.

I used to shave on a regular basis but don't anymore because I ended up having problems with ingrown hairs. I trim the hairs with a pair of scissors now.

As for whether or not you should shave down there it's a matter of personal choice. But it's not mandatory to shave the pubic area.

As everyone else has said, this should be your personal descision, not your significant other. Be careful if you decide to as it can lead to ingrown hairs, staff infection if you get a little knick from shaving and so on. Be happy with whatever descision you make!

it's only itchy and prickly if you shave it and then stop, and let it start growing back out. keep it shaved every 2-3 days and it's not a problem. You could just shave around your butt and lips and just trim the upper triangle, that's what I would recommend starting with, but there's not much better than a cleanly shaven chonchola, let me tell you...

As Tara662 says....I prefer hair down there. Leave things as nature intended.
