Women's Health - April 2007

HELP PLEASE! I am having numbness/pain/ and swelling on my left side. It goes from my belly button down to my leg and belly button around to my spine.
It is numb but swollen and painful at the same time. What could it be? I do have Irritable Bowel, Endometriosis, and Fibromyalgia.
This has been going on for several days now. I'm thinking of going to the emergency room but don't have health insurance so I need to make sure that it is very serious before I go to hospital.
Will take any help that I can get. PLEASE!

Just feeling a bit sorry for myself really. Meant to be going to hospital on wed to get my gallbladder out on thur. Now I think I have an infection in my boob! It's red, lumpy and very sore! I had this problem about 2 years ago and ended up in the hospital 3 times to get it drained! Wondered if anyone thinks they might just sort it out while I'm under anaesthetic getting my gall bladder out, or if they'll postpone my op??? Can't see a doctor til tomorrow. Maybe someone else has had a similar thing while waiting for an op! Anyway, suppose I shouldn't moan, plenty of people worse off than me. Another couple of weeks and I should be feeling better! PMT will be gone too, makes things worse. Boo hoo poor me!

I PUT THE ORTHO EVRA PATCH A SUNDAY WHEN I WAS ON MY PERIOD BUT I TOOK IT OFF 4 DAYS AFTER BECAUSE I WASNT FEELING GOOD.. A DAY AFTER I TOOK IT OFF I GOT MY PERIOD AGAIN.. I KNOW THIS HAPPENS AFTER U TAKE OFF UR 3RD PATCH BUT IS IT NORMAL TO GET TWO PERIODS ON THE SAME WEEK????

I forgot to take my pill and havent taken it for about 2 half weeks now.

Me and my boyfriend done the sensible thing and bought condoms until i could restart my pill.

However the other night he got a bit excited to quick without the condom on. And this happened last night as well.

Is the pill still in my system?

What are the chances im pregnant?

Okay i am just starting to regulate my period and for the last two days it has been stopping around 11, 12 at night.
Does that mean i'm stopping? or waht do i do?

I have pain on one side of my vaginal wall and have for several months now. My annual exam came back normal. I am going back to the doc but I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this? it's on the right side almost like it's under the skin and deeper. it bothers me almost all the time and makes sex painful. Help. I have NO other symptoms at all!

ok were i get cramps it hurts! i missed my period this month im not pregnant ive never done anything like that im 13 but anyway when i poop (lol) it hurts were i get cramps and also it can b really sore there but they dnt feel like cramps . why is this?

well you see when i was younger, i shaved my mustache because of low self-esteem about my facial hair and my face itself. now i feel awful, because i think my mustache is darker? my friends tell me it's okay and it doesn't look darker it's fine. but i don't know, what should i do? i know it's not going to get any lighter...what else can i do?

I had a "cervical cyst" removed Wednesday and when I talked to my doctor Thursday he said it wasn't a cyst and I won't find out what it is until I go for my 4 week follow up appointment.(I knew it wasn't a cyst but he wouldn't listen...)He sent it to pathology so they can do a biopsy or whatever but now I am wondering what it is that they removed.It was a large round shaped mass on the side of my vaginal wall.Probably about the size of a jawbreaker(candy). There was no fluid in it,it was basically a solid,just squooshy.I tried to look it up but all that comes up is endometrial,cervical,ovarian and uteran cancer.He also did a laparoscopy and a D&C and said there were no signs of endo so we still do not know why I had chronic pelvic pain and irregular bleeding(every 2 weeks w/o birth control).Besides cancer,does anyone have any idea of what this "thing" could have been that they removed?Anyone with some words of help will be appreciated.(I can be quite a worry wort.)Thanks!

i had unprotected sex two weeks ago, but i took planb the next day. four or five days later i started having brown vaginal discharge and it hasnt gone away for about a week now....i dont know if im pregnant or not because i dont start my period for another two weeks. is this unusual or could i be pregnant?

I was severely sexually abused for four years beginning when I was nine; I'm 18 now. Apparently I have PTSD, etc. I have my first gynecology appointment next month and I am more scared than you can even believe. I don't see how there's a possibility that it won't be as painful as it used to be, and just taking my clothes off will start flashbacks, I'm sure. I'm thinking about the appointment every second of every day, which probably isn't the best idea but I can't think of anything else. And I'm not comfortable talking about it either, so I can't just come out and TELL the OB/GYN. I really don't know what to do, and I'm not even sure what kind of advice I'm asking for. But any ideas?

Hi I' extremely concerned about my reproductive health. I started my first period when I was almost 13 and it lasted 2 weeks nonstop and didn't return 2 months later but it wasn't painful at all and my face was acne free and t returned to normal cycles over time. Now as time went by I was 16 my periods turn out to be exteremely painful (can't sit, stand, sleep, basicly tearing up from pain) tried midol, and the pain killers helped at first but I had to take more and more every time. I knowticed that every time when my period is near, these gross zits appearf on my forehead only not on the rest of the face though, and not only they make me look horible they also hurt ((undescribable too much pain)) what do they have to do with my period and why only on my forehead and why hurt me so much.U may say that acne is normal in teens but this isn't acne it's plain painful zitz that only apear on my forehead not the rest of my face and only 3-5 days of my period. How do I get rid of them?

My mom , while travelling in bus started to bleed continuously (after a sudden jerk on passing over a gutter) from the uterus for about 4 hours. she was taken to the hospital and the doctors gave her medicines. She was asked to take an ultrasound scan and the result suggested that she has multiple fibrosis less than 1cm in the uterus. After one day she started to have a small abdominal pain. Why is this happening? What is the next step after this? Can this be harmful. plz help.
